Show Ctmitr E0Wttg f&mitar FEBRUARY 6, 1997 PAGE 2 f?r: Happy 80th Birthday The family of Virginia Young would like to wish her a very happy 80th birthday on Friday, February 7. Virginia along with her late husband Roy, has lived in Milford since 1941. In fact, she still resides in the same house in which she has lived for fifty years now. She is known as mom, grandma, or great grandma to those sending this birthday wish. And not only do we all wish we could be closer to see her more often but also to spend this very special day with her. However, she instilled in us big dreams w hich, in turn, took us all for away from Milford in miles, but not in our hearts As she has always been there for us over the years and across the miles we are also here for her as we wish her a very happy birthday. In the meantime, Virginia must decide on her special birthday trip which she will go on with her three daughters. This fall she will be traveling to the New England Coast or to the island of Victoria in British Columbia. On behalf of your family; lola and Mack Whittaker, Laurel and Paul Woodbury and Thea and John Leppink and their children and grandchildren Curt and Tommy and Zack, Shaun, Jill and Jake, Jan and Patrick, Jason and Stefhe and David we would all like to wish you a very special 80th birthday. Many will recognize Mary Elizabeth and Caroline as the two young girls who hid the church papers in the cornfield and escaped the mobs. Mary Elizabeth was the first woman to read the Book of Mormon (as featured in Legacy). James Henry was a member of the party who purchased the land and settled San Bernardino under the direction of Brigham Young. This is a large scale event that has been in the planning for several years. It will probably be a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and gather together the descendants of James Henry, Mary, Caroline and Phoebe. A directory of descendants is being compiled, as well as a book, which will be available at a later time There will be a short program at each event, with memorabilia being shared. There will also be a catered luncheon in Minersville. Camping facilities are also available there.
