The season will be wrapped up with the "Salute to Youth" occurring in All summer long the Dungeon of Arts will be open directly beneath the old Courthouse and will be displaying a variety of exhibits by many talented local artists. All of the performances some highly recommended and there is not a better way in the world to treat the whole family to an evening of entertainment than by attending them. By VON CHRISTIANSEN What began as a small community's attempt to increase Its num- ber of cultural summer activities and exhibit some of the remarkable artistic talent it possesses, has evolved into one of Southern Utah's most notable literary events. In years past it has produced many outstanding performances for audiences of all tastes. The Beaver Civic Arts Committee is proud to announce the opening of the 1987 summer theater season. This year its list of events is even bigger and better than ever before, and, with the completion of the new auditorium in the Community Center (formerly called the Opera House), even more people can see them than before. It will start with the Children's and presented a petition to the City Council requesting the City chip and seal the following roads: 1250 North 100 West to 200 West, 200 West 1150 North to Main Street. The City Council discussed problems with the deed on certain roads within the Bradshaw Subdivision. City Manager Baker reported that the proper deeds have been made to correct the problems and that Ron Bradshaw will have to sign the deeds. Robin stated that he would try and have Ron sign the Deeds. Councilman Messinger moved, Councilman Grim shaw seconded, the petition be received and filed by the City Recorder. All voted in favor of the motion. Craig White andChadNowersmet with the City Council and requested the City reconsider its previous decision to seal only the City's asphalt. The City's extra cost would be $506.45 If calculated at the original percent of participation. Councilman Smith moved Councilman met with the City Council and discussed economic development. Councilman Grimshaw moved. Councilman Hutchings seconded, the Business License application of Schwans Sales Enterprises be approved upon receipt of the business license fee. All voted in favor of the motion. Councilman Messinger moved, Councilman Miller seconded, Mayor Lee and Recorder Lessing be authorized to sign the following contracts: a service agreement with the Intermountain Consumer Power Association, approval of I.C.P.A. as Beaver City's single purchasing agent for the C.R.S.P. allocation. Councilman Messinger moved, Councilman Miller seconded, Mayor Lee is hereby authorized to sign the local consent form to permit a restaurant Liquor License at the Garden of Eatn Restaurant 1314 West 1425 North. All voted in favor of the motion. Councilman Smith moved, Councilman Miller seconded, Beaver City participate and seal our portion of property when the rest of the alley is sealed. Lisle Nielsen met with the City Council and discussed plans for the city wide clean up. Craig Davis and Brent Stapley motion. The City Council reviewed the Tentative FY 88 Budget after review Councilman Messinger moved, Councilman Smith seconded, Beaver C ity adopt the tentative FY 88 budget. The City Council moved Into executive session at this time to review and adopt a salary schedule for FY 88, after moving out of executive session Councilman Messinger moved Councilman Miller seconded, Beaver City adopt the salary schedule of FY 88.
