The party to be held December 22, will include all civilian and military personnel of the base and their children. Planned along the same general lines of a party held last year, this year's party promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Under the direction of Colonel James S. Sutton, deputy commanding general, an elaborate program has been scheduled for the party. Ticket sales have exceeded the 5,000 mark and are expected to reach 6,000 by Monday morning, according to Sherwood chairman of the ticket sales committee. All monies taken in by the sale of tickets will be spent on the party; the more tickets sold, the more elaborate the party, Kubisch said. The Sto ry Princess will appear in full costume and tell the children one of her intriguing stories. The Story Princess first came into prominence two and a half years ago. Her radio appearances are the culmination of an ambition to create a children's radio program which would eliminate much of the horror and negative reactions that are so bad psvcholoei- cally for children. She went on the air as the Story Princess for KSL two years ago and has broadcast 5 times a week since then. Her program was entered in the national retail dry goods association contest and won first place in the nation. She has also won the Gold Medal Award as the most outstanding dramatic radio show in Salt Lake City. The Story Princess program has the highest Hooper rating on any station in Salt Lake City at 5 |
