From there, Mahoney hopes to go on to the American Bowling Congress worlds championships at Detroit on April 13. Ghet has been standing Utah bowlers on their ears with his terrific tossing. Early last fall he finished eight in a select group of eleven at the State match play tournament, and recently he topped that performance by finishing third in the State round robin. His 20 game series totaled 4034 for a 202 game average. r old Mahoney, an airplane mechanic for the Ogden Air Reserve Training detachment, was born in Aznoe, Montana. He joined the Air Force in September, 1940 still blissfully believing that an "alley" was something behind the old homestead.
