Leagues for both men and women were organized with prospects of an exciting and varied season in store for the players. The recreation unit at OATSC has entered a male team in the Salt Lake City league and one eirls' team in Ogden, with a ten tative entry of a gins' team irom the civilian dormitories waiting for final action from the girls in that area. The winner of the Salt Lake City league will receive a trip to Denver, Colorado, to the regional championship tournament, and from all reports it looks as it mu Field and the Cardinals this year for world champions. Make it easy on your feet. girls. Approximately 50 hostesses are needed to be present on at least one of the two main dance nights. We are going to put tables alongside the Seagull club dance floor and provide soft drinks, hamburgers and hot dogs. We may get a larger orchestra, better music and more people but only if the girls will help us by coming out for this hostess job. Surely you can find one night each week that you can turn over to the fellows who want to dance. We would like to form hiking groups with individual leaders and who would take groups of 50 or more on Sunday afternoon hikes beginning at one p.m. Some would go horseback riding, others might go and do sketching or nature life painting. Later on when it is warmer, there could be picnics, swiming parties, hay rides in the evenings, weinie and com roasts and a general good lime for all. These hiking groups have been successful in the east and could be worked just as readily here.
