The large number of picnickers met at 7 p.m. Much of their energy on Thursday was devoted to cooking with gas not the food but for rides down to the reservoir or home again. Weekly visitors to the reservoir warned others of the slide down the sandy embankment and the stiff climb up. The lake is privately owned, but the girls of. the club have access to the place because they have been careful to put out their 'bonfires, shut the gates, and generally take care of the place.
