Penny Pinching can be a short sighted policy when it is done indi scrim inatly wthout regard to where you buy. Pennies spent wisely in your local places of business sometimes are worth their weight in gold in future benefits to your community. A penny can see to it be spent many times that you spend yours where they have an opportunity of returning ' to you. reg GRIPE OF THE WEEK The other day I had to go to Salt Lake on 'business and to save valuable time got a sandwich on sandwich was fine but the way I just can't go for potato chips soaked up with me juice oi a couple of dill pickles. Wish someone would invent a deal like they now have for jelly a little containin some places er completely sealed so it doesn't gum up the works. reg Today I wish I were triplets so one of me could get the paper out the second one could take care of a few pressing ward duties that's me and the third one could eo to the canyon and get a couple of days of uninterruped Wouldn't sleep and relaxation. that be grand the canyon is the evenings getting green and so it wont be are getting warmer, Ion before we can enjoy a picnic. Elder Memmott . California Mi6Sion . Volume 46, Number 19 Next Sunday, May 15, has been set aside as a special fast e Region which comday throughout This is to be all and Millard Counties. Juab of prises Sanpete, a special day of fasting and prayer in private, in our families and in community meetings, thanking our Heavenly Father for His blessings and in supplication to Him for moisture whjch is so badly needed in support of our crops and herds. Moisture throuhout the whole area has been deficient through the winter months, so that storage and spring runoff is expected' to be way below normal. In Nephi during March, April and May we normally received 5.12 inches of moisture. There was no measurable precipitation during March and Apr!' and only .57 inch of moisture to date in May. Whether each of us realize it or not we are all dependent upon the soil and moisture for our sustenance so all members of this stake should join with their families in supplication to our Heavenly Father, and attend meetings on this appointed day where we may unite our faith for this blessing.
