Cox Reports On Projects Completed A. Sponsoring Opera The Gypsy Rover I. All members of Juab Stake are invited to attend the Juab Stake Opera, to be presented Friday evening at the Juab high school auditorium. The opera is being present- til ed under the sponsorship of the M. I. A., and is under the direction of Emma Cannon. "The Gypsy Rover" is the title of the presentation, which is a three-ac- t musical comedy. The plot is built around the character of Rob, later known as Sir Gilbert Howe, of English Nobility. Rob is portrayed by Ralph Ladle, who does an excellent job of singing and act ing in the entire three acts. The plot takes from the time Rob is stolen when an infant by his nurse Meg, who later becomes the wife of Mafto, a gypsy. Rob grows to manhood among the gypsies, believing that Meg and Marto to be SI his parents. The romance angle comes in as Rob falls in love with Lady Constance. The true identity of Rob is established, he becomes a successful composer, and a powerful social leader. JOIN THE CROWD AT CENTRAL UTAH'S BIGGEST CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL About two sections of range in the head of Santaquin canyon was fence and seeded with grasses, and considerable contour furrowing and seeding was done at the head of Payson canyon. In the Hop Creek areas, Nephi cattle range, about four miles of Forest boundary fence was reconstructed by using juniper posts to replace old aspen posts most of which were decayed and fallen down with the old wirea New metal troughs were installed for stock watering at the following springs: Stump hollow and on Levan range; Cow Spring on Wales range; God's Rock on Payson range; Lone Tree and Middle Ridge on Mona Range, and Right Fork of Four Mile on Nephi cattle range. In addition to the above newly constucted projects, old troughs at several springs were reconstructed, and some of them moved to other springs nearby and light to heavy maintenance work done on many old projects. All of these developments have been very worthy projects, badly needed as watering places for sheep and cattle grazing the National Forest ranges and all have been very much appreciated by the per mittee owners. iff. Nebo Basket Ball Schedule Play in the Nebo division of Region 3 will begin on Friday evening, January 9, accordng to the schedule drawn at the annual meeting of coaches and officials held at Provo on Monday night. Juab high school's first game will be played on the local gymnasium against the Springville Red Devils. This setup gives an early season meeting of these traditional rivals, which usually meet near the end of the season' in hectic encounters. The schedule also calls for the playoff game between the runner-u- p of the Nebo and Alpine divisions on March 13th, one week after the ends on regular playing time March 6th.
