PAGE FIVE X. L BAKERY Elgin Garrett, Prop. Insist on Our Bread - then-candida- Under Auspices of Studenti Body Association Of The Senior and Junior High School The appeal of magic and magi-clais genuine, powerful and universal. It is not confined to any nation or people and it is as poweras it fully exerted upon grown-up- s is upon children, who derive pleasure from a magic show that can only be equalled by the glamor of the circus. For this reason it is expected that Birch, the famous magician, will be host to capacity audiences of local people, when he presents his mystifying array of illusions at the High School Auditorium, December 3rd, at 7.30 p. m. The Birch production is one of the finest and most . magnificent now on tour and it Is undoubtedly the most complete ever presented here. Although he Is a young man, so great has been his experience and so ably demonstrated has been his exceptional talent that Thurston, the world's greatest, has publicly stated that Birch is the logical one to become the world's reigning king ns of magic when he retires from the stage. Included in the Birch repertoire are such magnificent illusions as the Vanishing Pony, in which a beautiful Shetland is caused to vanish while suspended in mid-ai- r, the Challenge Packing-Bo- x Escape in which. Birch will attempt to escape from a strong box constructed by a local lumber company, the beautiful Silk Mirage, said to be the most beautiful silk production act ever devised, the Canary and the Mazda Lamp, in which a live canary is shot Into burning light bulb and almost fifty other bewildering illusions.
