Other outstanding winners in the Penney herd were May Royal's Shiek, who has a record of first in the yearling bull calf class at nine shows this year. Resolute Eminent with the old bull same record in the Resolute, twice class, Shorewood grand champion at the National Dairy Show and others. Thirty-nin- e awards were won by the Penney herd which was also awarded the Peer Challenge Cup for the best four animals, the progeny of one bull, one male and three fe males with one female in milk. This is the second year in suc cession in which this herd has won this high honor in the breed. Mr. Penney, who is one of the most active breeders in the country, has shown his herds at all leading central western and southern fairs this season.
