The committee sponsoring the organization of a municipal band were given assurance by the city council, at its meeting Thursday evening, that an appropriation of one hundred fifty dollars would, be made available from the city treasury to toward the purchase of uniforms. The council was assured that the civic organizations and clubs of the town would sponsor a grand ball from which it is expected to duplicate the city's contribution.
