RftV RMjOIISRI H JW' fff ' 8 I "The Ladies Literary Club of Nephi has decided to wage a campaign in this city during the coming season in the interest of a clean and an attractive town. We have observed in the past, particularly last season, that the streets have been left in a very unsatisfactory condition; and later in the season the weeds have certainly been a disgrace to the town. We feel that a little effort ou the part of the city and the people would improve this condition very materially at but a small cost. We are undertaking therefore, the project of clean streets for our city and we are asking that you lend your influence and efforts to carry the work through successfully. "The club has planned also to have a civic flower for Nephi. The Zinnia has been chosen as this flower. This is a brilliant, showy plant and is especially adapted to the soil here. The seeds are inexpensive and we hope to have them planted profusely, for the flower will do much to beautify our city. "The improved appearance of Nephi will be a real satisfaction to us here. It is evident too, that during the coming months the tourist travel to the Southern part of the state, visiting Utah's play grounds, will be very heavy, and the club is particulshall take arly desirous that Nephlwill do her on an appearance that credit. "The club solicits your earnest in the undertaking mentioned, to the end that Nephi will be what she should be a good, clean and an attractive city.
