MANAGER Subscription Rates I $1.00 $2.00 the election Mr Higgins, candidate for Judge on the Indepen dent ticket traveled up and down this district telling the people who would listen how he was the choice of the voters, and how he had been ruthlessly robbed out of the nomination, all of which was so much bunk to those who knew different. Espec ially did Mr. Higgins claim that he was the choice of the people of Iron county and those delegates who re fused to vote for him on the last ballot at the judicial convention were branded as traitors and betrayers of the people The election is now over, and what is the story? Out of nearly 2000 votes cast in Iron County Mr. Hig gins received a scant 100. In the light of this expression of the voters of that county it seems to us that the three delegates who bolted from Higgins, really represented the people. as Judge Burton polled 1109 votes In Iron county at the recent election. In this connection the Parowan Times comments as follows: "It is interesting to note that Wm B. Hig gins, advertised as the people's choice for Judge received only 5 votes in We Pay 4 per cent Interest First National Bank on their trip 'round the World relatives here.
