GIBSON. ... . ;heaffer5 Editor Manager he had a job as surveyor and had opened a Bank Account in his own name to take care of his savings. One Tear 12.00 Six Months 11.00 First National After Every Meal Governor Charles R. Mabey has likewise issued a proclamation in which he requests the people of the State of Utah to observe Wednesday February 6th, 1924 as a day of mourning and that all duties in Public Office be suspended for the afternoon of said day. This court certainly appreciates and endorces the action of the Presi dent and Governor in the mark of respect thus shown to the memory of our Distinguished statesman Wood row Wilson. One of the daily newspapers con tains the headlines: "A Great Man Is Dead" And so the court feels that not only America but the World has lost a great man. He was not only the chief executive of this great country from 1913 to 1921 but was a great world figure. His great document written during the world's war and known as his 14 points,, has, and will furnish the basis upon which the great structure of worlds peace will be built and said document, the world is fast becoming to realize, is one of the greatest State papers yet produced. The people of the world oppressed by greed, selfishness, ambition and war, will trace its evolution into world peace, in part at least,, to the thought and labor of Woodrow Wil son. The court in paying tribute to this great American nnas expression in the language of President Coolidge in his proclamation of February 4th, 1924 which the court hereby adopts: "The death of Woodrow Wilson deprives the country of a most distinguished citizen and is an event which causes universal and geniune sorrow. To many of us it brings the sense of a profound personal bereavement. "His early profession as a lawyer was abandoned to enter academic life. In this field he attained the highest rank as an. educator, and has ielt his impress upon the intellectual thought of the country. From the Presidency of Princeton University, he was called by nix fellow citizens to the chief Executive of New Jersey. The duties of this high office he so conducted as to win the confidence of the People of the United States who twice elected him to the Presidency of the Republic. As President of the United States he was moved by an earnest desire to promote the best interest of the country as he conceived .them. His acts were prompted by high motives and his sincerity of purpose can not be questioned. He led the nation thru the terrific struggle of the great world war with a lofty idealism which never failed him. He gave utterance to the aspiration of humanity with an eloquence which held the attention of all the earth and made America a new and enlarged influence In the destiny of mankind." In testimony of the respect In which his memory is held it is hereby ordered that this court do now adjourn until Thurgday, February 7th, 1924 at 9.30 o'clock a. m. Attorney E. A.
