Mabey, for the relief of the stricken sufferers of Farmington and Willari, where many homes and farms were devastated by the raging floods which swept those sections of the state on the night of August 13th. A committee of which W. C. Andrews was chairman, was appointed by Acting Mayor Forrest. This committee met Monday night at the Commercial Club rooms and outlined the plan of campaign for a canvass of the city. Tuesday morning a number of young ladies in each ward visited the homes of the people and gathered in their donations. Wednesday morn ing a committee visited the business houses. Quite a number of people took their donations direct to the bank who had previously been authorized by the Governor to receive de posits. The total received from all sources in this city amounted to $396.10 The committee feel that this was a splendid response from a town the size of Nephi and wish to thank every person who responded to the call for help from the people in the Northern part of the state who have been so sorely stricken. The living descendants of the late Bishop and Mrs. W. H. Warner", to the number of about one hundred and twenty five held a reunion MonWard day evening in the North Amusement Hall. The above number enjoyed a fine banquet after which a good program was given, followed by a dance, to which a large number of friends of the family in this city were invited.. There are now 195 descendants of the late pioneer couple now living. There being 16 children, 88 grand and children, 85 great grand-children, 6 great, great, grand-childre- n.
