While the Dcnic crats only elected two of their ticket, they put j up a good light, and until the count was made they had their hopes built up to bolieveing they were going to carry the majority cf the ticket. Even many of the Krpublieaus were feeling quite - uncomfortable about the result; but the count showed that the Republicans had not been napping; tliat they had done their work well both before and on election day.
