We really appreciate the fine, support we have received since the new fledging operation of DuWil Publishing began the first of September. It has had its ups and downs, and mistakes mis-takes have been made that any new enterprise seems to go through. However the support we have received have made it more than rewarding and we a J.0 ity$eie (ove Jo t lyse oat of m J o a Qood friends urgse fneiyJ$(Jt mays so and a. The complex world in which we live today has changed so many things. It has re-shaped our lives and it has at times made one feel he is wrapped in a whirlwind as he tries to keep up. Even three years ago, it would not have been possible for a small newspaper such as the CHRONICLE to have a four-color cover for a Christmas Christ-mas Edition. A small computer to compose the material would have been unheard of and a press that produces 12,000 copies an hour was almost another dream, at least to a weekly. Christmas however, its warmth and Its cheer and its wrt wlyv touch acfj- Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Swensen Mr. and Mrs. Lee Judd Mr. and Mrs. L. R. For two years ago, three human beings spent the first Christmas in space the first Christmas that Man has spent away from the planet that has nurtured civilization since time began. A few short months later, two other human beings in the picture above set foot on the virgin moon. Tomorrow promises to bring Man in direct contact with other planets: someday perhaps per-haps the very stars will become be-come the venue of Man's exploration. ex-ploration. The earth as viewed by these two Astronauts make' us "suddenly "sud-denly realize that all God's creatures are on board together to-gether traveling through space. From that distance, National Boundaries disappear and the problems of one area become the problems of all. Likewise the opportunities and benefits for the inhabitants of this planet in the solar system excite the imagination when one looks from this objective point in space. Upon reflection this Christmas Christ-mas we quote somethings about Christmas that perhaps best tell about Christmas, the things we like and the appreciation we have from the whole Chronicle family of advertisers and subscribers. sub-scribers. Friends are the delight of youth, the charm of old age. A source of happiness in prosperity, and of great consolation in adversity. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
