Emily Young was home visiting her parents this weekend. George Blake and family visited with the Sid Young's this past week. Also Darrell Morton and family of Calif. Afton said to call in the news and she'll try to call it In next week. DESERET AEPRILLA SCOW Chad and Joan Anderson of Og- den were at the home of Chad's parents for the Easter weekend. Mr. George Wood of Las Vegas, Nev. visited Monday and Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milden Wood. Our congratulations to Ken and Venice Moody Bishop on the arrival of a baby girl on March 25. This makes three girls for the Bishops. Mr. Lincoln Eliason took a group of his Speech and Debate students to St. George last Thursday for a Speech Meet for high school stu dents. His students did real good. Mrs. Josie Moody returned home Thursday after having spent the past three weeks at Kearny, Ariz, with her granddaughter, Mrs. Elaine Judd and her family. Mrs. Myrle Bennett spent Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday at St. George where she did some Temple work. She accompanied Mrs. Dorothy Gardner of Delta. Darrel and Alice Gaye Scow and daughter, Lisa of Pheonlx, Ariz, arrived ar-rived Friday evening and spent the weekend with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milden Scow and Alice Bliss. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Warner and family of Salt Lake spent Easter with Jay's mother, Mrs. Fern Warner. War-ner. Mr. and Mrs. Matt Cropper left Saturday for Las Vegas to take their grandson, Kelly and granddaughter, grand-daughter, Karen Cropper home. Kelly and Karen were on their spring vacation from school. They are the children of Marlow and Carol Cropper. Grant and Lucille Western and children of Smithfield, Ut. were here for the weekend with parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western. Joe Mace and friend of Salt Lake spent Easter with Joe's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Mace. Miss Paula Black, student at USU, Logan, was home for the weekend with parents, Dee and Eunice Black. Mrs. Mollie Dewsnup and Mrs. Winona Dutson visited Sunday at Flowell with Bill and Ulala Mace. Mr. and Mrs. Garold Damron and children of Salt Lake spent Easter with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Damron. A very nice Easter program was presented Sunday morning at Sunday Sun-day School. John Western of Ephriam visited visit-ed over the weekend with parents, Faun and Luella Western. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Black and daughter went to Salt Luke on Saturday to visit with Dean's mother, Mrs. Inga Black at the Holy Cross Hospital. Mrs. Blanche Jensen was in Salt Lake the first of the week for a doctor appointment. She also visited visit-ed her son Max and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Crafts and children chil-dren of Las Vegas visited during the week with Robert and Edna Torrens. Mcculloch Quality Market 252 West Main Delta, Utah Easter brought fun, visitors and special events to our town for the weekend. Saturday morning, the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the church grounds. Snappy weather dampened lots of enthusiasm (of adults) and limited the usual number num-ber of attendants and out-of-town visitors, but the kids had fun and a fair crowd came out. Following, the Sunday School sponsored a ward party at the Sand Hills. Sunday Sun-day morning a lovely Easter program pro-gram was given. Many visitors were here to enjoy it. Later on in the day a snow storm brough Easter activities to a halt. Alice Bliss returned home from a visit with Alice Gaye and Darrell in Phoenix, the end of the week. Kathryn Manis and children, Johnny and Patricia of Las Vegas came up to see Lee and Lois Wilson Wil-son and the Walter Manis family. A new big baby boy has arrived in Post Falls, Idaho this week to Sherlene and Ron Pace. On Saturday, Satur-day, March 28th the 9 lb. 14 oz. new arrival made the tenth grandchild grand-child for the Lee Judds and he will be named Michael Ryan. Congratulations Con-gratulations new parents! Jean Stewart and boys of Magna have been visiting with Clara Stewart for several days the past week. Mrs. Verna Taylor spent last week in Calif. She went with her mother, Alta Barney and sister, Geniel. They visited at Vallejo and Orvin Barney who had come from Hawaii. Orvin and his wife returned return-ed Hinckley with them for a short visit. While Verna, Alta and Geniel were in Calif, they visited San Francisco, went to Chinatown, rode the cable cars, saw the ocean and lots of other sights. Mr. and Mrs. Rich Card and two children, Bobbie and Wayne visited with Clara Easter Sunday. Mrs. Card (Mary Ann) is Clara's granddaughter. grand-daughter. Also Mary and Vance Abbott and girls, Robbie and Peggy and son, Eddie were here also. Eddie will be leaving for Vietnam in the immediate future. Bonnie and Rulon Western and two girls of Provo were here recently re-cently to see Rulon's father, Alma Western. Mrs. Ev Greener returned home from the hospital in Salt Lake last weekend. Thora and Jim Petersen went to Salt Lake for a couple of days the latter part of the week. Forest Taylor was in from Las Vegas this week seeing friends and relatives. Roma Zellar of Tooele visited her mother, Fern Hepworth on the Easter weekend. A large number of family members mem-bers were together at the Charles Craft home this week: Carol and Craig Moreland and family of Woodland Hills, Calif.; Edsel and and Jolene Torrens and family and family of Walnut Creek, Calif.; Ed John and family all of Las Vegas. From here they all went to Salt Lake to attend the wedding and reception o their brother, Mark and bride. Attending from here also were Zane and Elcee Craft, Ralph and Blanche Craft and Tim, Arland Craft, Wesley and Evelyn Morris and Eddie Morris who was best man. Harold and Belva Morris were in Provo on Monday on business. Elma Jones of St. George came to see Arvilla Workman and Ar-vllla Ar-vllla spent Easter with them. The George Eklns had all of their children here for Easter, Keith and Kathryn Black and boys of Orem; Margaret Wilde and two little girls of Salt Lake; David and Linda Eklns of Provo. Garold and Mae Jean Damron and boys of Salt Lake visited the Lowell Petersens last week, also the Damrons at Deseret. Carl and La Verne Theobald drove to Midvale during the week to attend at-tend a World War I Veteran's Board Meeting. On the way home they stopped in Payson to visit with Joyce and Marion Manwell and family. They attended the Easter program in Church there and enjoyed Easter dinner with them. Marion teaches Ag at Pay-son Pay-son High School. Esther and Lowell Petersen drove to Phoenix, Ariz.the latter part of the week to see their son Nels, wife Bonnie and their family. The Perry Tippetts attended funeral services for a brother-in-law, Hyrum Cloyd Dalton in Hurricane Hurri-cane last weekend. The Carl Hardys drove to Salt Lake to meet the plane and to meet Gloria Wilday and two girls, Wendy and Debbie who have just come from Australia. She is one of Ron's converts there and she will be living with Beryl and Carl. We welcome her to our ward. The little son of Verlene and Fred Williams was blessed in Fast meeting Sunday. He was given the name of David Scott. His grandfather, grand-father, Stan Williams of Cedar attended. at-tended. Mrs. Kay Bishop went to Magna the middle of last week to stay with Barbara's childhen while she and her husband were gone. At the Walter Manis home has been their daughter, Hollie and Vaughn Price of Phoenix, Ariz. They came up by plane and on Sunday Bonnie and Walter drove them to Salt Lake to meet their plane to return to their home. Jay and Jerry Warner and family of Salt Lake visited with the Walter Wal-ter Manis family on the weekend. Our big ward Homecoming and Groundbreaking ceremony will be on Saturday, April 11th. It will begin at 5:00 p.m., will be followed follow-ed with a dinner at the Elementary Elemen-tary Lunch Center, then a program in the chapel. Also there will be a movie, art display and sale, and bake sale. All former ward residents, resi-dents, friends and Interested folks are invited to join us here for this big event. The ward has been working very hard for the past months toward this goal of our building program and it wouldn't be complete without you folks who have been ward members in years past so plan to join us Saturday, April 11th. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robison and Mr. and Mrs. Smith Adair, also Blaine Spendlove were visitors here and at church Sunday. Frank, Smith Blaine and Cluff were classmates together in Hinckley and they also sang together so it was a happy reunion for them. They sang a number together as a quartet in Church, the first time they had sung together in many many years. Lawanna Peterson and Sarah Jo Louder went to Provo recently to see Lawanna's mother, Vera Soren-son Soren-son who was in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Verue Theobald and two children, Sharon and David of MILLARD COUNTY CHRONICLE- THURSDAY. APRIL 2. 1970 Northridge, Calif, have been here visiting the Carl Theobalds and other relatives and friends in the area. They returned home Sunday. While here a family dinner was held in their honor at the Carl Theobalds. Present were in addition to Verue and family, Elaine and Fred Turner and family and Paul Theobald.
