Mr. Walter Peterson was here Saturday and Sunday from Salt Lake. He visited his mother, Mrs. Aretta Peterson at the West Millard Mil-lard Hospital. He reports she is getting along well at present. Best wishes to her for a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Jones report having another little grandson at West Millard Hospital last Wednesday. Wednes-day. They visited mother, Mrs. Bryant Bry-ant Jones and baby and Mrs. Aretta Aret-ta Peterson at the hospital. Congratulations Con-gratulations to all the family on the new baby. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Dewsnup took their little son, Russell to the Pay-son Pay-son Hospital last Friday where he is confined for medical care. Kent and Sandra and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Finlinson and Ranae drove to Pay-son Pay-son Sunday to visit Russ. We send our best wishes to Russell for a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Jones, Clark Lovell, Susan Shipley, Macel Anderson An-derson and Margaret Roper were temple workers at Manti Thursday. Miss Betty Lou Lovell of Cedar visited a few days with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Lovell. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Roper, Jr. took Mr George Anderson and Thayne Prisbrey to Murray Sunday afternoon where they visited Laurel at the Cottonwood Hospital. Laurel is progressing quite well. Mrs. Ellen Lyman and Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Lyman returned to St. George where they will spend the remainder remain-der of the winter doing temple work. Mrs. Ellen Lyman has been staying with a brother, Peter Niel-son Niel-son the past month. After she got on the bus she had a mishap and fell and cut her head requiring medical attention. I hope she is recovering satisfactorily. Mr. Jon Finlinson and Ardean Anderson returned from their South American tour of Chile last Friday. They have been gone the past month where they visited Garth and Venice Finlinson and had a lovely time touring and sightseeing. sight-seeing. They also got a little taste of missionary work. Their parents met them at the air port in Salt Lake Friday evening. High Councilman Laurence Cropper Crop-per was our Sacrament meeting visitor Sunday evening and had the program. Mrs. Ruby Skeem gave a talk, also Kelly Hawley, Miss Delene Skeem played a piece on her accordian and Mr. Cropper talked. It was a verv enjoyable meeting and we hope they will come again to visit us. We're enjoying beautiful weather weath-er at present. It's quite a relief after the cold spell we had the first part of the month. Mrs. Margaret Roper is visiting her daughter Betty and family at Hinckley at the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Mathews of Nephi visited Mrs. Lemira Dut-son Dut-son Friday. Mrs. Ladd Black and children of Ogden visited over night with her parents, Mr. an Mrs. LeRoy Anderson. Ander-son. Mrs. Helen Wright and her mother, Martha Anderson visited at Plain City during the week with Martha's daughter, Rosalie and helped her celebrate her birthday. They also visited in Uinta with Shirley Lovell and family, and Helen's daughter, Betty Rae and family. Mr. and Mis. Eldon Anderson visited at Foolcreek Sunday with their daughter, Edith and Bryce and children. It was nice to see Alice out to church after having been 111 for several weeks. Moyle and Glado Anderson were home from Provo the past weekend They are students at Provo. Mr. and Mrs. John Wright spent the weekend with Rachel's mother, Mrs. Lemira Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Iverson of Salt Lake were also Sunday guests of Mrs. Dutson. Mrs. Viola Walker attended Jolly Stitchers meeting in Delta Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Christensen attended funeral services Friday in Springville for a cousin of i Ranae's who was killed In an' automobile accident on the free way during the week. Sunday evening Jodi Finlinson had the misfortune to fall on the way home from church and broke her wrist. She was taken to the West Millard Hospital where she had it set and spent the night. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderson received word Monday that their grandson Lane LaFevre is suffering suffer-ing from jr. arthritis and is confined con-fined to his bed for the next three weeks. Sidney Young and wife went out to the Tooele County Ranch in the hills Tuesday. The children of Fred Tolbert have all had bad colds, in fact nearly everyone around is coughing and complaining of sore throats. Charles and Helen Marie Thayer and little Kerri spent the holidays in Red River, New Mexico with friends. Walter and Lola Stoneking had Christmas dinner with Lola's mother, Mrs. Rose Webb and brother, Clarence. Most of our family called us New Years Day, making it nice to be remembered. Almon and Jay Fullmer and wives visited, the Frank Tennants and Richard Fullmers, Tooele, Dave Poulsens in Salt Lake and Tracy Fullmers in Lake Point, Friday. I never did write how I enjoyed the "Messiah" given by the chorus under the direction of Joe Moody and wife, Glena (the organist I did not know, but she was indeed good) and Inez Riding did such a fine job narrating. It was indeed good. Outstanding in fact. Garland and Phyllis Johnson and Jill went to Flowell on New Years to the Melvin Robisons, also to visit with Phyllis' sister and family Mr. and Mrs. Carl Guilette of Idaho. Jill went back to Provo Sunday. Neno Hoelzle and also Bernadine Schene returned Sunday to their School, Neno to Logan and Bernadine Berna-dine to U of U. Eleanor Murray and Cleone Tolbert Tol-bert are both feeling some better. Arnold and Elaine Peterson and family of Layton, Ut., spent a few days with the Clifferd Petersens during the holidays. My news got hijacked last week but I don't think it got clear to' Cuba. Anyway I'll try again. Walter and Lola Stonekings little granddaughter, Carl's girl of Salt Lake, went sleigh riding and ran into a tree and broke three toes night. Things like this are really hard to bear but reach us all at some time and I know it helps to have friends to help us share our grief. Little Teresa Fullmer, Almon, Jr. and Dian Cahoon Fullmer daughter, is in the Cedar Hospital with pneumonia. pneu-monia. Almon, Sr. and June went to Cedar Sunday and said she is some better now. In fact there are lots of colds around. It seems like January is always a bad month for flu. Sherill Tolbert is building some very nice looking out side buildings build-ings on his place and a garage and another shed which makes the place look better and better. Mrs. Helen Marie Tsayer had a birthday Jan. 11. We wish her many happy returns of the day. Mrs. Cleone Tolbert had her two sisters, Eleanor Murray and Marvel Clayton visit with her Sunday. She was happy to have the students in the class she taught in Hinckley Hinck-ley Elementary School write her cards and letters. She has had a long serious illness but is a little better every day. We hope she wil soon be able to return to her school room, Francis and Melvin Mitchell also visited Cleone Sunday. Arnold Petersen of Layton visited the Clifferd Petersens Sunday, also the Mitchells visited them. Mr. Lloyd Tolbert and Ida Hnrdy of Springville were married Jan. 6, 1970. We wish them many years of health, wealth and happiness. Siiarville VENICE DAVIS Bishop and Mrs. Roy Losee and Roxie Losee made a trip to Payson during the week for a visit with Becky. Mr. and Mrs. Frelen Shurtz visited visit-ed in Richfield Thursday with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Spencer. Gerry Hill entertained Sunday with a dinner for Bishop and Mrs. Roy Losee and Roxie Losee. Barbara Shurtz is home with her baby son, all doing nicely. We congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Shurtz on their new baby boy. Virginia Clark was here from Calif, for the holidays with her mother, Catherine Clark "nd families. fam-ilies. Several people have been on the sick list. We hope these colds or flu will soon clear up. During the holidays some of the members painted the foyer of the church, looks real ice.
