Plans for a summer or fall wedding in the Manti LDS Temple Tem-ple are being made. It's a six lb. nine oz. baby boy for Mike and Barbara Sledge Peterson Peter-son in Culver City, Calif. The new baby boy has an older sister, Cinda. He is another grandson for Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Howell of Oasis and Mr. and Mrs. Herald Peterson of Abraham. Jean Eliason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon A. Eliason, was last week awarded a Presidential Scholarship at the University of Utah. The award was made on the basis of her school work and publication pub-lication activities. The new baby is doing nicely, reports Grandmother Pearl. He is another great-grandchild for Mrs. Ethel Baker of Fi.lmore. Janice Corry, College of Southern South-ern Utah student,, spent the week end home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hcyborne Corry. Sunday afternoon MJ. Corry and another daughter, Delma, drove Janice back to school. Other weekend visitors at the Corry home were Mrs. Gary Corry and a girl friend. Mrs. Gary Corry and friend are students at Utah State University in Logan. Gary is in Vietnam. He wasn't too well and then had a fall and broke his hip and other complications set ni that he could not overcome. They had gone to Phoenix to be with their kids and avoid the cold weather. We wid certainly miss him and our heartfelt sympathy goes to Margaret and her family. The funeral was in Scottsdale, Ariz. Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and he was buried in the Memorial Gardens Gar-dens there. John and Ed have been friends here in Abraham since they were ten years old. We have a lot of sickness here and Miss Pati Schena has had a set back after her recent thyroid operation. We hope she is soon well again. Mrs. Selma Potts Lasero, Ruben's wife had the misfortune to slip and break her ank.e Saturday and had to have it operated on and put in a cast. She is in the West Mil-'ard Mil-'ard Hospital at present.
