Show DESERET ABPRILLA SCOW Mrs. Myrle Bennett left Friday i to spend Friday and Saturday at Tooele with Mr. and Mrs. Burton Cahoon, then she will go to Magna and spend a week with Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Justensen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Humphries and daughter of Calif, visited during the past week with Mrs. Humphries father, Mr. Louis Schoenberger. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bunker and three sons of Calif, arrived Thursday Thurs-day to spend a few days with Mrs. Bunker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Webb and also to attend the wedding and reception for Mr. and Mrs. Carl Webb. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup visited vi-sited Wednesday at Flowell with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mace. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Chynoweth and daughters of Orem spent Thurs day at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Elmer Dewsnup, Mr. Max Jensen of Salt Lake was home for the weekend with his par ents. Axel and Blanche Jensen. Gary D. Dutson spent several days at Ephraim on business. Paul Peterson who is attending college - at Cedar City was home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Peterson, over the weekend Mr. and Mrs. Meith Ogden and sons spent Easter weekend in Salt Lake City. Mx. and Mrs. Glen Larsen and children Rex, Brenda and Jane of Spanish Fork visited Friday with Mrs. Larsen's brothers, Lincoln E-liason E-liason and Phil Eliason and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Black and son and daughter of Tooele were down for the Easter weekend at t h e home of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Black. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Callister and children of Ogden spent Saturday Satur-day and Sunday at the home of Mrs. Vernell Baker. Daughters of Utah Pioneers of the Fanny Cropper Camp met on Friday afternoon at the church for their monthly meeting. The lesson was given by Myrtle Western. Refreshments Re-freshments were served by Edna Christensen and Beverly Eliason. A large number of members were present. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torrens, Sr. over the Easter weekend were Ed and Jo-lene Jo-lene Crafts and children of Las Vegas and Robert and Janet Torrens Tor-rens and children of Kearns and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Torrens and son from California. . Mrs. Oneta Moffett and children of Salt Lake spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Webb. They also came to attend the wedding reception Saturday Sat-urday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Carl Webb. Mrs. Josie Moody left Saturday for Arizona where she will visit the next ten days at the home of Le-Roy Le-Roy and Elaine Judd. The Deseret Ward held their an nual Easter outing on Saturday at the sandhills. A large crowd was in attendance to enjoy games and the egg hunt. Darrel Scow from Snow College was home for Easter with his parents, par-ents, Milden and Arprilla Scow. He spent Wednesday at Dixie College where he played tennis for Snow College. Mr. and Mrs. Axel Jensen and son Max spent Friday at Miners-ville Miners-ville enjoying the fishing there. Our congratulations are extended to Carl and Judy Webb who were married Friday, April 16 in the Man Mrs. Eva Robison who is ill in the Nephi hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. 0. L. Dutson arrived home Sunday from California where he has been taking care of his bee business there. Mr. and Mrs. George Pappas and son and daughter Steven and Sher- rie and a friend of Steven's from Murray spent Easter Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bennett met their son LoMant and family of Richfield In Cedar City Wednesday Wednes-day and traveled on to St. George where they spent the night in their trailer houses. Thursday morning, they went to Nevada to Pedurous Warm Mineral Springs, a resort, where they enjoyed swimming, hiking hik-ing and visiting. Then they made a trip to Overton, Nev. where they watched the Mexicans harvest ti LDS Temple. A wedding reception acres and acres of onions and ra m their honor was held baturaay evening at the Deseret Ward. A large crowd was in attendance and the newlyweds were given many useful gifts. They are making their home at Cedar City for the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Bennett visited vis-ited one day at Orem with Mr. J. A. Bennett who Is ill and In a rest home. Tony Western from Logan was home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Faun Western. Mrs. Edna Christensen spent Sun day at Tooele visiting her daughter, daugh-ter, Carolyn. Mr. and Mrs. Williams of Bountiful Bounti-ful visited Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Black. A fine Easter program was presented pre-sented in Sunday School. Then at Sacrament meeting the theme "Eas dishes which are shipped out by truck loads. They visited an Ostrich ranch of over 75 birds which was a beautiful sight. Saturday morning morn-ing they went to Zion's Canyon and Springdale where the BYU put on the Easter program. They brot with them Elder Richard Warnock of Montrose, Iowa He Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Warnock, who is a brother of Marie's. Richard is leaving for a mission to the Andes. Lima, Peru is the mission headquarters. He is the second missionary to be sent from that place since the Saints were driven out in 1846 or '47. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hardy and family of Salt Lake visited from Thursday night with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hardy and family. They were on their way to Milford to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hardy. Mr. and Mrs. Seth Jackson, La Mont, Jessie and I spent Sunday afternoon in Holden visiting wiith Grandma Jackson and with Mr and Mrs. Wells Kenney, Georgia and Glenda. Grandma came back to spend a week with us. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ashton and son Tod, Sharon Hopkins and Shaunon Iverson spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brog Hopkins and family. Bob Bennett was home from school with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Bennett and brother Jim. Donald Western was home ior the weekend at the Ray Western home. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Edwards and son visited with Mr. and Mrs. James Nickle and Mrs. Mary Edwards. A niece of Mr. and Mrs, M. H Workman, Mrs. Thelma (Chldester) Anderson of Burbank, Calif, and her daughter Mary of Springville visited visit-ed last Thursday afternoon witn Mr. and Mrs. Workman. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Rowell Lea-vitt Lea-vitt and family of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Atkins and family of Tooele had Easter dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Workman. They also visited the sandhills. McKay Church was home from Nevada where he is working with a group of surveyors. I saw Beverly Petersen home for Easter to visit with the Homer Petersens. AIUIAIIAM MRS. AFTON FULLMEP It was a nice day for Easter cool breezes and spells of warm sunshine. We met some of our fa mily on the slopes near the dog graves west of Vernon. A lot of people had the same idea we had, for there were dozens of cars and trailers there too. 27 of us there. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Humphries of Calif, have been recently visiting with Mr. Louis Schoenberger, Iv- anell's father in Deseret. We still claim all the people that lived In Abraham and are interested tn what they are doing always. Monte Mampton and wife and four children were here Saturday and while they were here their pet pup ran away. The children were heart broken and want me to say if anyone sees a small puppy pup-py around to lete me know and they will make a special trip from Dugway to pick it up. Sherman and Gladys Tolbert had all their family home for Easter: Fred and Winona and baby from Cedar City, Verl and Dorothy and Kelli from Salt Lake City. Miss Sandy Taylor was home with her folks the Edgar Taylors for the spring vacation this last week. Mrs. Lola Stoneking went to see her doctor in Salt Lake this weekend. week-end. Walter drove her up Thursday. Neil and Jackie Corbett Sampson and two children of Las Vegas spent the weekend with the Chester Corbetts and Fern Sampson. I was happy to see Ronald Jensen's Jen-sen's wife is well enough to get a-round a-round and shop after two long years of being seriously ill. Clark and Reva Bliss and Bob and Sebrina Robison took a nice Easter drive Sunday. Had dinner at the New Ponderosa Cafe in Beaver Bea-ver and visited the towns down that way. While at the cafe a bus load of BYU folk dancers stopped for dinner and their dignified good behavior impressed everyone. We see so little of it these days.
