Show Oak City News MAE H. SHIPLEY Elder Quayle Dutson arrived home by plane Tuesday from a 2-' year mission in Britian. He is thj son of Willis and Thelma Dutson. Quayle reports his sister Dixie is) also in the same mission and doing fine. Quayle will give his mission report Feb. 21st. All friends and relatives re-latives are invited to hear his report re-port at the Oak City Chapel at the above date. Elder Crandall Nielson will give his mission report next Sunday nite Jan. 31st. Crandall labored in the California mission. , Miss Mayvonne Dutson spent the weekend in Oak City from Salt Lake where she is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson and son Newell went to Salt Lake Monday morning. They will return Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Drollinger and children visited Saturday and Sunday Sun-day with parents Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Shipley. Their home is In Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torrens an children went home Sunday after having a week's vacation with friends and parents. They live in Kearns. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Densley and children of Ogden spent Saturday and Sunday with parents Wllford and Bessie Sheriff. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Talbot had their daughter LuOna and family of Nephi also their son Arnold and wife Leslie visiting Saturday and Sunday. Congratulations to Blaine and Ka Nae Chnstensen who have a little new adopted son. Now they have a little daughter and son to gladen and make their new home. How thrilled they are. Mr. Jess Peterson and Miss Vir ginia Nielson were married Satur day, Jan. 23 in the Manti LDS Temple. Tem-ple. The same evening a very lovely love-ly reception, dance and program was enjoyed by a large crowd of admiring friends and relatives. Many useful and lovely gifts showed show-ed love and happiness for this lovely love-ly young couple. A good buddy of the groom Newell Anderson was emcee of a very fine program. Congratulations Con-gratulations and best wishes for the happiness and success of this lovely young couple from all of us. Many relatives and friends from out of town were in attendance. The LiHoma girls of the Primary had a "Daddy Date" party Friday night. They were ten girls and they all had their daddies there. They ate a lovely supper and then danced. danc-ed. The teachers are Vee Loveli, Clara Nielson and Rebecca Pratt. Miss Wilna Wixom visited in Oak City a few days. At Sacrament services Sunday night Counselor Calvin Dutson was in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Shipley Ship-ley and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and family gave a very interesting in-teresting program. Following the Sacrament services Elder Newell Anderson showed slides he had taken ta-ken during his two-year mission in Scotland. They were good and gave all an idea of Scotland and many beau iful places and the mission progress there really good history. Miss Vaneen Archibald is the Home Ec. teacher at Lehl High School and Miss Lind Ward is a county nurse at Lehl. Saturday, Margaret took them out to see some of our places of interest, such as The Great Stone Face and the Old Fort at Deseret. Marie Whiteley went to Salt Lake, Thursday (today to see Elder Gary Wiley take off by plane to his mission assignment in Argentina, Argen-tina, South America. He has been in Provo the past few months learn ing the language. He was a former member of our ward and Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thurlow Wiley now of Salt Lake. We surely send him our best wishes for an enjoyable enjoy-able and successful mission. Mr. and Mrs. Clayson Cahoon re turned home Monday afternoon after af-ter spending the long weekend in Las Vegas visiting with their daughters dau-ghters and families Dwlght and Jean Allison and Michael and Edith Ed-ith Hughes. They also visited with Clayson's sister, Mr. and Mrs. J, E. Nielson of Richfield. Mr. Nielson has been in poor health so they are spending some time in Las Vegas Ve-gas with one of their daughters. They had a very pleasant weekend. Mrs. Nell Sorenson accompanied Clayson and Hazel Cahoon to Las Vegas and she spent the weekend with her sister, Leona Prestwich. She attended Stake Conference there with Leona and she reported that they have divided the slake, also that the wind can blow as hard, if not harder, than it does here in Delta and its just as dusty. La Von Taylor and Yvonne Church visited from the Stake Primary. A good time was had by all present. Mr. and Mrs Dick Ciark made a trip to Salt Lake for a doctor's appointment on Mon day.
