He took the Overson family up to Magna for a visit with Ida's sister and family and they also visited an uncle in Provo on their return home. Mr. and Mrs. Don Marlen have been visiting with the Araldo Jones family the past week. Tuesday evening the Junior Gleaners and the Junior M-Men went on a party to the canyon. Ray Wilkins is their leader. Mr. and Mrs. Curt Johnson and George drove to Cedar City Sunday and brought back Lucille's mother, Mrs. Casen, for a week's visit with them. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Nielson have had visiting them several days the past week, Mr. and Mrs. John Davis and children from Los Ange les. They were on their way to Yellowstone Park where they will spend the summer. Thursday the PTA meeting and program was held in the recreation hall, with the children of the school giving the program. Dancing of different types was the main event under the direction of Mrs. Inez Wiley and Mr. LaForge Lovell. A large crowd enjoyed the program very much. New PTA officers installed in-stalled were Mrs. Laura Bradfield, president, with Katherine Jones, vice president and Araldo Jones, secretary. Tuesday afternoon the Leamington school will combine Friday Mr. Lovell took his Sixth I grade pupils to Salt Lake uty ior an outing. Mrs. Ruth Bowers took her car also and assisted with the group who visited points of Inter est on the capltol city. They all had a very enjoyable time. Those making the trip were Melody Mills, Margret Bowers, Kay Nelson, Janet Nielson, Keith Overson, Albert Carrington, Don Bradfield, Dennis Halsey, John Greathouse, Cary Wiley and Jimmy Nielson. Mrs. Frances Hayes and children spent the weekend in Salt Lake making final preparations to move with the closing of school. Miss Ellen Overson arrived home from San Francisco, Saturday. She came with the Dean Durrants and their little daughter Catherine. The Durrants are spending the week in Tooele with Dean's parents. Ellen came for the graduation of her brother Wayne, from Delta High and to visit her parents the William Oversons. Mrs. Barbara Anderson and her daughters visited here Sunday from Richfield with the Lowell Wilkins. Enla and Larry returned to Richfield for a stay with the Anderson family. Mr. and Mrs. Phill Nielson and daughters drove to Enterprise for the weekend with Mrs. Nielson's parents. Mrs. Ruth Abegglen received a phone call from her father, Elder J. Alma Banks, he was at Minora visiting Mrs. Maurine Miller and family. He will be home Monday from Milford. Elder Banks has spent the past six months as a missionary In the California Miss ion. Garth, Kenneth and Jerold Finlin- son and George Talbot. The priests who talked were Norman Olson, Gerald FInllnson; Jerald Peterson, teachers' quorum member, and Crandall Nielson, deacon, talked. Short talks were given by Bishop Anderson and Mrs. Ida FInllnson. The meeting was conducted by Clifton Alldredge, The services were very enjoyable Prayers were by Newell Anderson and Winston Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Talbot spent a few days in Oak City. They came especially for their son George's seminary graduation exercises, and to move about the last of their furniture to St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lovell and children, Pauline, David and Keith, spent Mother's Day weekend at Overton, Nevada, with their daugh ter LaRue, and family. Their son Brent, who is employed In Nevada, and his girl friend, Joined them. They report a nice time. Mr. and Mrs. John LeFevre and children visited in Oak City for Mother's Day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Peterson and family, and Oliver Tarrey, from Salt Lake, visited their sister, Eda Christensen, and family last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Roper had their son Vernon visit last Tues day, from Spanish Fork. Nola and Gwen Christensen visit ed Saturday and Sunday with grandparents and relatives. They live at Provo. Mrs. Susan Shipley spent a day with the Christensens at Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nielson were In Salt Lake City Friday. Mr, and Mrs. Grant Harris report a new daughter, born at Spanish Fork. Congratulations to grandpar ents, Earl Harris and wife, Mrs. Nellie Roper spent the past week visiting her daughters, Leola, Mina, Ruby and Wanetta, and LILMINGTON Kles Finlinson in a week is something new for us in this area. The graduates from here with their parents attended Baccalaureate Baccalau-reate services In Delta Sunday afternoon were Rayma Bradfield, Linda Greathouse, Don Benson, Burton Cahoon, Joe Nielson and Wayne Overson. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield and son Don, drove to Cedar City Sunday and attended an Award and Honor assembly at the college, where their son Jay, received a scholarship in Building Construction. Mrs. Mary Johnson and Miss El len Overson spent the day at Sutherland Suth-erland with Mrs. Hettie Johnson on her birthday. Other guests were Mrs. Mary Finlinson, Mrs. Twiss Nielson and Mrs. Frankla Flnlin son of Oak City. For the birthday dinner also were Mr. and Mrs, Lester Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Max Johnson and Mrs. Rhoda Jackson. Mrs. John Alldredge visited few days In Salt Lake with her husband, who has been at the veterans' hospital the past eight weeks. He Is improving slowly and hopes to be home soon, Keith Harris and children were visitors in Oak City. Their home is at Provo. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson visited Saturday and Sunday at Sunset with daughter Rosalie and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Monan Lovell and little sons. Loren and Audrey Elder Twit chell, from Cobalt, Idaho, visited in Oak City with her parents, Mr and Mrs. Parley Elder. Mrs. Anita Anderson had her sister, Velma Harvey, visit her over the weekend, Mrs. Cheryl Roper took her Suiv day School class to the canyon for a party, and they report having had a good time. Mr. and Mrs. Dwaln Finlinson and children were in Salt Lake on Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Nielson visit ed from Milford, Utah Mrs. Merton Lovell continues to Improve at Utah Valley hospital in Provo. Students from Oak City who went on the Seminary trip to Salt Lake were George Talbot, Dennis Jacobson, Judith Finlinson, Jenette Anderson, and they report enjoying the trip, Slick Chicks We met at the home of our leader, Mrs. Rae Jensen and organized organ-ized our club. We chose the name Slick Chicks. Diane Jensen was chosen president and Linda Phillips, vice president; Gaylon Cropper, secretary; Raw-lene Raw-lene Hales, reporter and Frances Black, as song leader, Delora Conk, Delene Black, and Francene Cropper are the special party and program committee. Rawlene Hales, reporter The Lamb Chops 4-R Club Th,f Lamb Chops 4-H club Is fully organised and holding their meetings regular every two weeks and are learning a great deal about feeding and handling sheep anu lambs under the able leader ship of Bud Huff and Carl Webb. The members who showed their lambs at the Spanish Fork show did very well. Allen Ogden had Grand Champion Iamb and Jerry Huff won the fitting and show- menship in the lamb division. The Jurging tam consisting of Jerry Huff, Jay Webb and Allen Ogden, won second place la the 4-H division. The club also expects to take many of the honors at the Delta Livestock Show this week. Mrs. Essie Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson, their two child ren, Eddie and Judy, and their cousin, Connie, spent Wednesday and Thursday at John Andersons and at their home in Leamington. Miss Marlene Anderson and a couple from Salt Lake City, attended attend-ed Sunday School and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Walker Finlinson on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Larson of Provo, visited at the Spencer Nielson Niel-son home Saturday. Mrs. Larson is Alta, Mrs. Nielson's sister. Miss Karen Sperry, Nadine Pay, Mrs. Shirley Bradfield and son, Randy, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield. Mr. and Mrs. Wefby Finlinson, and Mr. Walker Finlinson drove In to Salt Lake City early Saturday morning on business, then came back to Provo for the track meet. Arlyn ran in 2 events, In the 440 race, he tied the conference record made in 1931 by Levi Myers. In the mile relay, his team broke their own record with 3 min. 15.03 seconds. sec-onds. The previous record was 3 min. 17.06 seconds. Mr. and Mrs. Jay L. Peterson and two children of Salt Lake City, spent Monday night with Mr. and Mrs. LeForge Lovell. The school children and some PTA members combined Friday to pull a birthday surprise party on Mrs. Mabel Harder. Dances and games. Punch and cup cakes were enjoyed by the group. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barton and Mrs. Rulon Dutson spent Saturday at the Manti Temple. Mr. John Dutson of Ririe, Idaho, and his sister and son from Sunset, Mrs. Phobe Gorcher, were down for the Evans' funeral and visited Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradfield drove into Salt Lake City Friday to take Eddie to a specialist. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bradfield, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield drove to Fairview Saturday night to attend the wedding reception of Albert Hanson's daughter.
