Klee Finllnson Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Dutson and son Kayle, drove down Sunday night for a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs, Rulon Dutson. Monday, they all drove to Ephraim to visit Mrs. Dutson's uncle, Reed Madson. Tuesday the group drove to Fillmore Fill-more and stayed over night with Merrill Dutson and his family. On Wednesday they visited in Provo; 0f a late dance beginning at 12:01 with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Barton and on the 31st and lasting till 3 a.m. I Ray Johnson sang "The Holy City" as a sulo and voun Lin Lovell and ! La Priel Lovell also did solo work. The School and Sunday School program, Saturday before Christmas was excellent with all the little ones taking part. Santa Claus made Ills visit at the end of the program presenting each with a sack of goodies. Santa called again and made a house to house visit on Christmas eve. Caiolers accompanied him on his tour making music for young and eld to ei.joy. Ihis week's lestivities consisted then drove on home to Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson returned home. Jack Nielson drove into Salt Lake City last Thursday to visit with his uncle Ed Colethrope. who recently had a heart attack. Mrs. Walker Finlinson went shopping shop-ping in Provo last Thursday with friends from Lynndyl. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nielson finish ed their shopping in Provo last Fri- or later, at least, I went home at 3. The music was good, floor was slick and everyone had a very good time. Mrs. Margaret Bradfield and her grandson, Larry, spent the holidays in Weed Heights and Fallon, Nev. There thpy visited with 'Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Lambright, Mr. and Mrs. Dolbert Bradfield and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Griffith and their families. day. Sunday morning they left for! Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson Aberdeen, Idaho, where they spent Christmas with Norma's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Ralphs. They returned on Sunday the 30th. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Larsen were drove into Salt Lake Monday the 31st to take Lennie Holmquist. He had an emergency appendectomy and spent Christmas holiday in the hospital in Nephi and convalescing in from Ely, Nev., for Christmas at at his grandparents' home. the Clinton Nielson home. Mrs. Clay ton Tousley and her Mr. and Mrs. Dale Finlinson and j two children left the Leonard Dut family spent Christinas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Welby Finlinson. Mrs. Burnis Finlinson and children child-ren and children arrived at Mr. and Mrs. OL. Johnsons the Wednesday before Christmas. Her husband joined her later, so they were all home for Christmas. They are making mak-ing their home in California. Since I missed the last week's edition with pro-Christmas happenings happen-ings I'll report now. The Primary had a program and party for the children, serving pop corn balls. The Relief Society had their annual Christmas party, exchanging exchang-ing gifts and serving refreshments. The MIA music and speech dept. presented "the Spirit of Christmas' son home after topping off her 6 week's stay with Christmas. She is sufficiently recovered from her heart operation to return to her home in Palo Alto, California. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hanson were called into Tooele last Friday to visit Burton's sister, Helen Quarn-burg. Quarn-burg. Mrs. puarnburg is critically ill. " Mr. and Mrs. James Nelson and children were visiting with Mr. and 7 Irs. Burton Hanson the last weekend week-end of the old year. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson were in town visiting with friends and family over the weekend. They stayed with Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nelson and with Joy Neilson as the spirit. She , son were seen in tcv:i during the looked lovely surrounded by a huge wreath of green boughs and colored lights. LaForge Lovell was "Pa" in his night shirt. Carma Hanson pantomined the part of Mary. The scripture readers were Clinton Nielson Niel-son and Key Lovell. The story of "The Little Black Lamb" was told exceptionally well ly Mabel Harder. Har-der. The Chorus supplied the background back-ground music of many popular carols. A quartett consisting of Ray holidays. The; ar? visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Nelson. Mr. Glen Harder spent Thursday to Sunday of the Christmas holiday holi-day in the Nephi hospital. He Is recovered and back on the job now. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Williams had Christmas dinner in Tooele with their daughter, Grace, and grandson grand-son Gene, who had flown from Great Lakes, Mich., to spend Christmas Christ-mas with his folks. Wednesday, Johhnson, Jay Nelson, Wanda Niel-thpv all drove to Leamington for son and Lorna Wichmann sang, dinner at the C. H. Williams home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chase were down from Nephi to have an early New Year's day dinner on Monday at the C. H. Williams home. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Nielson hfd Roland Larson and his family visiting during the holidays. Wallace Nielson and his three children, LcGrand, Lorraine and Annette went to Henderson, Nev,, to spend Christmas with daughter Jenear.ne and her family. They also visited with Evan's wife who lives in Las Vegas. They left Sunday be.'ore Christmas and returned in time for the New Year's dance. His daughter Bonney, and husband and 3 children stayed out at the ranch to take care of things- Mr. and Mrs. Fred Finlinson of Salt Lake City and 3 children, drove down Christmas day to spend a few days in our Florida climate. Mr. and Mrs. Les Roper and grandson Glen Lee, went to Pioche, Nevada, to spend Christmas with Mr. r.nd .'.Irs. Glen Roper and Carol. Glen has "been working in Pioche this winter. Mr. Josiah Nielson wi s rushed in to Salt Lake City before Christ mas critically ill. He is in a private room at the Veterans' hospital , where they are attempting to build him up in preparation for an opera tion. His wife, Nora, is in iait Lake City with him. j Mr. and Mrs. Bernard McCann spent Christmas day visiting Willy Lovell and family,' Mr. and Mrs. Austin Wellden and family and Mr, and Mrs. Frank McCann. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Nielson stayed stay-ed over night with Mr. and Mrs. j Eevan Nielson and attended the mid-night frolic Monday morning, j Mrs. Walker Finlinson drove to Milford Monday evening with her brother Frank, and his wife. They will visit with their tolks, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Jones and a brother LeLand, who is spending the holidays holi-days at home. He L from Momoth, Oregon. Christmas day at the Fred Nielson Niel-son home found Mr. and Mrs. George Geo-rge Travoto and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jackson and children, Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Niel son and Brenda. Mrs. Robison of Fillmore, Mr. and Mrs. Rolph Robison and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Robison from Provo, are among the visitors at the Floyd Bradfield home over the holidays. This has been a wonderful opportunity for us to work together and become better acquainted. Our leaders have been out in front, and set a wonderful example of diligent and unselfish service. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley visited visit-ed in Ephraim Tuesday and Wednesday Wed-nesday with Mr. and Mrs. Brienholt. Mrs. Amy Brinkerhoff, of Beaver, spent Christmas with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Howell, and family. Mr. and Mrs.Arlo Messlnger, of Beaver, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson, of Ephraim, visited their their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler, Saturday to Monday. Visitors at the Style'.' home on Sunday were Mrs Styler's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. William Sud weeks, of Kingston, Utah, and her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Turner, of Ho'den, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Bishop, of Cedar City, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs, Clark Bishop, from Sunday through Tuesday. Thanks to everyone who has been thoughtful and kind to me, your reporter, while I have been laid up with a crippled foot. I surely appreciate it. And thanks for sending in the news items. They were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nelson of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Dutson and family of Reams, Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Nelson and children of Provo, and Janet Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Bus Nielson of Mil-ford, Mil-ford, vidted with Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson spent Christmas day in Delta wiith Mr. and Mrs. Sid Searle and family. Mrs. Jean Tolbert reports from Yermo, they were all settled in their new home before time for Santa to arrive and the children attended a . few days of school. Everyone seems to like their new home fine. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Bradfield and Randy were down for the week' end with Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield. Had an enjoyable day watching the grandchildren enjoy their toys. We still have time for the badly needed storms this winter. There is a measle epidemic a ound, but so far none in Abraham I have heard about. Miss Betty Bunker gave her mis sionary experiences Sunday night In sacrament meeting. She recently returned from an LDS mission In Texas. The Max Holbrook family spent Christmas eve in Bountiful at the home of Max's parents. A smorgas-board smorgas-board supper and a visit from San ta to the children were highlights of the evening. Clifferd and Erma Petersen had " guests for Christmas dinner, Mrs. Frances Tolbert and Mrs. Mary Jane "etersen, Mr. and Mrs. Kennith idams and children, and the Earl "etersens. Mrs. Sarah Taylor, Gladys Tol- "lert's mother from provo, is spending spend-ing the holidays with the Sherman Tolbert family. Santa Claus came to our church Christmas eve and took the children's child-ren's orders and brought them candy, nuts and orarges. A nice 'ittle program and the singing of carols gave everyone the good Christmas spirit. Our church building program is going again. Each day helps and we feel encouraged. It takes a long time with so few out here, but you know It took 40 years to tuild the Salt Lake Temple. The Hinckley Elementary School gave their annual Christmas play Thursday night. Our Abraham children chil-dren did very well in their parts. The little play was outstanding in every way. Max Jr. and Phillip Holbrook were in the recital in Sutherland Friday night. They play the accordion really fine. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Blanch (Marilyn (Mari-lyn Murray) and baby Toni are spending Christmas with the Karl Murray family. The David Paulsons are visiting over Christmas with the Arch Poul-sons Poul-sons in Sugarville and the Fullmers in Abraham. Some one rang our church bell 'hristmas eve. It sounded so good. I love to hear the old bell chime, to me it Is a priceless relic and should be rung on every proper occasion, you can hear it for miles and miles away. Hope some one gives it a good ring on New Years.
