Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Nielson were his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Nielson from Salt Lake City and h"s sister Virginia, Mrs. Carl Russell of Lake Chas, La. Virginia and her daughter Debby stayed several days before leaving for Washington D. C. where her husband has been transferred. Mrs. Barta Davis spent Decoration Decorat-ion day with her mother, Mrs. Emma Nielson. . Staying at the A. M. Harder home Tuesday to Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson of Salt Lake City. They also visited with the J. W. Andersons and Wm. Bradfields. Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Al Swane from Ely, Nevada and Veva Dekker of Delta visited at the Harder home. Mrs. Swane and Mrs. Anderson are sisters of A. M. Harder. Mr. and Mrs. Sid Searle and family visited with the Wells Nielsens Niel-sens on Memorial day. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hanson, their daughter Patsy and her girl friend, Karen Garner of Payson, were here visiting friends and ' attending to their graves last Wednesday. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. John W. Anderson and Essie Anderson Memorial day were Mr. and Mrs. DeLong Banks and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson and children, from Orem; Mr. and Mrs. June Johnson, formerly Wanda Ander son, and their children, from Delta. 'Mr. and Mrs. Fred Finlinson and family from Murray and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weagle and son Eddie, from Lark, visited with friends and relatives in Leamington and Oak City, Decoration day. They had dinner with their father. Master David Finlinson stayed for his summer vacation on the farm. Wm. J. Finlinson's children, who came for Decoration day were Margie Mar-gie Walker, Norda Gardner.Theon Finlinson, Afton Obern and some of their children. They visited with their brothers, Walker and Welby, and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Von Clements and their children visited with Mrs. Clara Johnson," Wednesday. Mrs. Jennie Pay is visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Erva Bradfield. Mrs. May Overson was brought home from the Nephl hospital on Monday. She is staying for a few days with her son Louis in Lynndyl. Lynn-dyl. Mrs. Rulon Dutson and Luella went with her son Merrill and wife, to Dove Creek, Colo. They will visit with Dallia's mother and brothers and sisters, there. Mrs. Dick Dutson (Ann) and her daughter Clara, have oeen visiting Iwlth her brother. Les Rorjer and the Roper family. They all attended attend-ed the Dutson Reunion, which was held Saturday up Oak City canyon. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Anderson drove up to Ray Andersons in Salt Lake City over the weekend. They brought little Connie back with them to stay for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sodaquist from Salt Lake City were here to attend to the graves at the Oak City cemetery and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradfield, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bradfield drove into Salt Lake City Friday. Stan came home in a new pickup truck. His folks stayed for a few days as Mrs. Wm. Bradfield went into the hospital Saturday for a minor operation. Mr. and Mrs. Les Roper left on Tuesday for Henderson, Nevada, to be with Mr. Roper's sister, Eva-lvnn Eva-lvnn Cottamn. Her 16-year old son, Glen Owen, aeeidently shot and killed himself Sunday. Mrs. Glen Harder and her children child-ren drove to Spanish Fork Thurs day. Memorial Day Program i The Legion Post 117 sponsored a short program at the Leamington cemetery Memorial day. It was under the direction of Post Commander Com-mander Benny Schena. Prayer was given by Chaplain Joe Gordon of Delta. Dean Harder, Leamington, was the speaker. A solo accompanied accom-panied by his guitar was sung by Mr. Tolbert from Abraham A salute of 4 guns in honor of the war dead and taps concluded the program. pro-gram. Some of the past residents of Leamington who were here for the day were Mr. and Mrs. Heber Sorenson, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. George Memmott Sr. and his son George Jr., and wife and family; fam-ily; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Farnsworth; Mr. and Mrs. Rass Elder of Salt Lake City. Pete Nelson's daughter, Ila Roberts and her husband, Mrs. Rose Olson Schoell and her family, included Mr. and Mrs. Carl Olson, from Pleasant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Williams from Mills. Ved-della Ved-della Jones. Mrs. O. L. Johnson's mother, Anna Kelsey and h brother, Cal Kelsey, were also with the group. They visited at the O. L, Johnson home and had picnic lunch in the park. Mr. and Mrs. Collls Lvman visited visit-ed with friends and relatives here and in Oak City Wednesday a Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Nelson and Janet drove to Kearns, Wednesday t - visit Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Dutson and family. They returned Friday. |
