That all ordinances of a general gen-eral nature now in force, In Delta, Utah, as revised, compiled and herein set forth, in the volume entitled en-titled "REVISED ORDINANCES OF DELTA, UTAH, 1956" containing 24 chapters with sections number7 ed from 1 to 50, be and they are hereby adopted, passed, published and declared to be the Ordinances of Delta, Utah, 1956. and are hereby passed by authority of the City Council of Delta, Utah. 2.That these ordinances shall take effect on the 1st day of April, 1956. The Daughters of Pioneers of the Fanny Cropper Camp held their monthly meeting on Thursday Thurs-day at the home of Lucille Sampson. Samp-son. Miss Shirley Davis who is attending atten-ding school at Logan was home over the weekend to visit her Darents. Mr. and Mrs. Verdon Davis. Mrs. Genevieve Eliason and son and daughter from Spanish Fork visited several days during the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Eliason. Ward Homecoming The Deseret Ward held a Ward Homecoming Friday evening at the ward hall. A lovely hot supper was served, beginning at 6 o'clock. After everyone had been served the adjorned into the recreation hall where the following program was presented. The program was in charge of Rae Jensen and Nora Cropper. Rae Jensen took charge. A minstral show was presented: Negros were Sheldon Chrlstensen and Robert Carling; Postmaster, Phil Eliason. Harmonica selections: "Swannee River" and "My Wild Irish Rose" were plaved hv Milden Scow, Cecil Warner, Jerold Bennett and Martha Mar-tha Mace. Reading: Sidney Ogden. Musical number: "Dixie Land" and "Oh Them Golden Slippers" was Riven by Frank Winfield and Ethel Western. Song: "Lover Come Back to Me", by Dorothy Croft Dance: Diane Jensen and song: "Southern Memories"' by Janet Stanworth, Marilyn Warnick. Dean Christensen, Gloria Allred, Steven Rowley and Jay Webb. Mixed chorus: "Old Black Joe" and Moonlight Bay"; Martha Mace, Nora Cronner, Dorothy Croft, De-loras De-loras Ogden, Jean Allred, Nola Warner, Milden Scow, Orin Allred, Newel Knight, Cecil Warner, and Jerold Bennett. Dance of the "Charleston" by Susie: Jerry Warner. The entire east sang, "Are You From Dixie". The program was enjoyed by everyone. The music was under the direction of Gertrude Western. I am sure that everyone present nought It was one of the best evenings. they had spent. We were triad to see so many, who are now living ot of Deseret, but who used to live here, that were present. pres-ent. We always welcome them home. Robert Torrens Jr. who has been ?mploved at Califomiia for the ast three months returned home Sunday. He left again Tuesday morning for Logan where he will nroll at the Utah Stat Agriculture College. Mr. and Mrs. Arvln Olson from Provo visited Sunday with friends and relatives. Mrs. Olson Is the 'ormer Mable Crafts. Nayon Young and Marlena Car-ling Car-ling spent Monday and Tuesday in ?alt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Conk from Salt Lake City spent the weekend visiting visi-ting Bill's mother, Evah Conk. There was a large number of Oeseret people who attended the Stake Conference in-Delta Sunday. Wayne Western who has em-iloyment em-iloyment at Nevada spent a couple if days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western.
