Mr. and Mrs. Floyd ToJbert went to Las Vegas last week and visited all our Abraham folks that have moved there. The group got together to-gether for an enjoyable evening. There were Mr. and Mrs. John Raleigh Ra-leigh Franklin, and sons, Jerry and Kim; Herald Petersen and wife, Eae, and family; Grant and Barbara Bar-bara Probst and family; Earl and Afton Petersen and family, Danny and Angie Atherly and family, Lee Talbot, Warren Petersen, alio El-den El-den and Dwana Poulson from Su-garville. Su-garville. All have jobs there. Not much left of Abraham, but we'll keep the home fires burning. Sherman Tolbert drove down to Fruita, Wayne County, Tuesday & back Wednesday. He had a nice visit with Tass Claridge, who lives there. Gladys Tolbert's sister. Mrs. Ele anor Hansen, who lives in Auburn, California, writes that there are about 400 hundred flood victims in their town. She says they seem dazed and rather hopeless after being driven out of their homes. i It is hard for us to realize how awful that California flood was. Carl E. Stoneking, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stoneking, left Tuesday Tues-day to enroll at the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. Good for you, Carl. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Webb and family for New Year's day were Lester's mother, Mrs. Frank Webb and brother, Clar ence. They enjoyed a lovely dinner. Emily and Alva Young and little- Emily, also Mrs. Janey Petersen, (Emily's mother) made a trip to Provo and Salt Lake City Monday on business. We hope Mrs. Petersen soon is well again. Sorry she has been ill. There are a number of cases of sore eys (pink eye) and some ear trouble in our neighborhood. Stapley was taken to the Delta Hospital Friday on the verge of pneumonia. Roma Ekins was brought home last Tuesday after surgery in the Payson Hospital. Mr. 'and Mrs. Carl Deutson have moved into the Shurtliff home, now owned by Darrel Taylor. Mr. Dutson spent the last few months working at Ely, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wise of Garland, Utah, spent the weekend with the Lafe Nielsons. COALESCE CLUB Carol Bishop and Vera Stevens were hostesses to the Coalesce Club New Year's Eve at the home of Joy Hurst A chili supper was served to Joy and Elden Hurst, Berniece and! Leonard Palmer, Carol and Gene Bishop, Vera and Dee Stevens, Joan and Reed Stewart, Beth and Ray Brown, Orpha and Robert Taylor, Tay-lor, Arlene and Cleone Talbot, Wanda and June Johnson, and Delma and Duane Galli. Guests were Carolyn and Clyde Stevens. Each one received a gift and later all attended the stake dance. Can't dig up any news this week.
