Show Millard county cusonicle Delta, Utah Thurs. June 16, 1955. Dr. Eugene Hilton spent se-eral days in Delta last week with his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bishop. He had been engaged in research work in Salt Lake City for two months, and will be in Provo for the summer taeching at BYU summer school. He and Mrs. Hilton went on to St. George for the weekend and to attend the wedding of their son, George F. Hilton. Dr. Hilton returned to Provo, Pro-vo, and his family returned to their home at Oakland, Cal. Mrs. Newell Iverson of Delta Is the lucky winner of a movie camera cam-era in the drawing conducted recently re-cently at Gardner Photo Supply. Lynndyl MABY JOHNSON Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hogan are i in Los Angeles visiting with mem-i mem-i bers of their family there. They plan to return home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Tolbert and children drove down from Tooele last Tuesday evening and went on to Los Angeles where they are visiting with Mr., and Mrs. Ray Greatwood. They will spend the remainder of this week with folks here and at Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson drove to Salt Lake Wednesday and took some of the dancers for our ward up to the Dance festival. Mr. and Mrs. Harry McCardell each took a car load. Mrs. Lowell Wilkins accompanied ac-companied them. The dancers in-, eluded Linda Greathouse, Burton. Cahoon, Enla Wilkins, Jerry Car-rlngton, Car-rlngton, Linda Mills, Wardell Nielson, Niel-son, Rama Bradfield, Donald Ben-' son, Judy Turner, Jimmy McCardell Helen Spencer, Alan Nielson, La Rae Shipley, Joe Nielson and Ellen Best. The young people enjoyed their dancing and their three day stay In the city. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Nielson and daughters came down from Logan for the weekend and were at the Reed Nielson home. Mr. Eddie Dutson will go to Nephl Tuesday and bring his wife and new little son home from the hospital. The newest member of the family was born Thursday. Mrs. Hattie Johnson visited here Saturday with her daughters, Mary and Mlna. Mr. and Mrs. Peter John son, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnson and daughters have just returned from a ten day trip thru Idaho and Canada. In Idaho Falls they visited Mr. and Mrs. Frances Burn-ham; Burn-ham; in Buhl, with Mr. and Mrs. Billy Beacham and in Calgary, with Mrs. Ellen Kenny and family. Mrs. Rhea Whatcott and Mrs. Ruth Bowers were among the conference con-ference visitors in the city Saturday. Satur-day. Overnight guests at the Herbert Abegglen home Saturday night, were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Slack of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Slack is Herbert's Her-bert's sister and they were returning retur-ning from a trip to California. High Councilman Thurman Moody Mo-ody was here with the program Sunday evening in church. He brought with him Frank Lyman, Phill Moody and Mrs. Cherie Shields. Mrs. Shields and Phill Moody gave solo numbers and the others were speakers. Mrs. Lyman and Mr. Shields accompanied the program. Mrs. Moody was the accompanist ac-companist for the singers. Charlie and Oscar Overson were here Sunday and Monday from Senora, California visiting with the Bill Overson family. Mrs. Lucille Overson and Keith went to Salt Lake Sunday. Mrs. Overson went to go to the temple wedding of Loretta Overson and Evan Riding which took place on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield and family visited in Scipio Saturday Satur-day and went on a picnic up the canyon, honoring their son Don, on his birthday. Mrs. Neil Heyborne and sons, Bruce and Kevin, returned to their home In Garland, Utah, Sunday, after a visit of two weeks in Delta with her mother, Mrs. Ruth Steele. Mr. Heyborne met his family In Salt Lake City to take them home. this time. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nielson returned re-turned home from Texas after several sev-eral days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zittlng and little son. They made stops on their return,' visiting, with Mr. and Mrs. Garth Whatcott in Mesa,, Arizona and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ashby in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thompson, Arma, Susie and Kathryn spent Sunday in Milford with their son Mac and family. They had their first time visit with the new little mother was just home from the hospital. Mrs. Hazel Sheriff came down Monday and brought Sibyl and Nona for an overnight stay. The Sheriff's are making a temoorary home in Provo where Mr. Sheriff is confined to the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nelson and familv visited in Mapleton Sunday with Mrs. Nelson's family the Perry Per-ry s. Mrs. Nole Greathouse, Don Vona Lue and Greg drove to Salt Lake for the day Friday. Mrs. Great-house Great-house was there Saturday also. Mrs. Mary Freer and Mrs. Lois McCardell and sons were Provo visitors Monday. They went to see Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Dessie Webster, who had just gotten home from the hospital. The Memorial Day week end Mr. and Mrs. Derb Skeem and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Skeem drove to Cedar City and visited Mrs. Webster Web-ster in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Skeem went on to Kanarra and visited with relatives there. Miss Gloria Day returned home Monday night on the bus after spending the past week in Salt Lake City. She was the guest of a cousin,, Mrs. Leona Ide Jensen. Miss Linda Cahoon spent last Saturday in Salt Lake City. She went up with Mr. and Mrs. Duane Smith. Mrs. Celia Christensen attended the funeral of her uncle, Rass Rass mussen in Fillmore last Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs. Evelyn Hawley and her mother, Mrs. Annie Skeem, drove to Ephraim last Tuesday and visited vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. Brienholt. They returned Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stanworth have been in Salt Lake City the past two weeks where Mrs. Stanworth is receiving medical care. Ted tame home last Saturday to see that all was well with the family and went back Sunday. They are hoping to be back this week. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Ingram and their little sons from Layton, visited vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Skeem a week ago last Thursday. CUve and Eathel are brother and sister. On Friday they went to Lehman's Cave. Little Miss Lois Brush has been visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Gillen the past two weeks helping her grandma clean house. She went back to her home in Delta Tuesday evening. 1 Last Sunday the stake board who visited our Sunday School were stake superintendent, Rulon Callister, Ray Western, and Kenneth Ken-neth Graham High Councilman Clead Nielson and his wife and Pat Barney were the speakers at Sacrament meeting Miss Geneal Barney sang two solos Now if there were others on the program I can't tell you because I was out to Abraham to their meeting. So if I have left anyonne out please don't take offense. I'm so late getting this written that everyone has gone to Mutual and there is no one else to ask. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Williams are home again. They've been up to Brigham City and I understand tht Leland graduated from the A.C. while he was up there. Congratulations, Congratu-lations, Leland. He has I been with Alden Shurtz in Fort 'Hood and is now released from i there. High Councilman Lathel Callister brought the program on Sunday night. The speakers were Victor Morris and Mr. Taylor. A song by three girls, accompanied by Margaret Mar-garet Wood. A good crowd was in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Doc Twitchell invited in-vited the old gang to their home in Provo Sunday and drove on to the Homestead in Midway for dinner, din-ner, then back to the Twitchells for supper. We . had a lovely day. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Davis, Mr. and Mrs. John Wind Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Underbill, and the Herman Munsters were visiting in the East or they would have been there also. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Losee and Viola Memmott and Mrs. Leo Davis, Da-vis, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Losee and Jean Jensen attended the June conference of the MIA, also the dance festival, which was lovely. Mrs. Annie Robertson from Orem is visiting with her daughter, La-Verne La-Verne Terry and Victoria Jensen and families. The Garden Club met Thursday and planted grass at the church house. It looks good, just to see it, planted. George Abbott is home from the Veterans hospital for ahwile. Rodger Faulck has enlisted in the Navy. We are all rejoicing over the lovely rain. Sunday they all went to Salt Lake City and met for a family dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Earl George and two children and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Bown. The Hattons went on to Tuckbank, Mont., to visit their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Don Weaver and will drive through the northwest north-west to return to their home in Torrance, Cal.
