Reed Talbot of , 'Oak City are -announcing the en-! en-! gagement of their daughter, Glen- j da, to Wilford Wolfenstein, son of i Mr. and Mrs. James Wolfenstein of St. George, Utah. Glenda ' is a graduate of Delta High School and has attended Dixie College the past winter. Wilford has also attended Dixie College the past winter. Plans for the wedding will be announced later. To Honor Couple Friday Night Annual Meeting crowds at The Mother Church, The First Church1 of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Mass. The Church of Christ, Scientist was founded by Mary Baker Eddy who discovered Christian Science in 1866 and published "the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," in 1875. NBC "Faith In Action" Series The National Broadcasting Company Com-pany has made available to The Mother Church an opportunity to present four programs on Christian Chris-tian Science in their "Faith in Action" series. The programs will be 15 minutes in length, and are scheduled to be heard locally over Station KDYL, Salt Lake City (1320 kc) on Sundays, Sun-days, June 12, at 7:30 p.m., June 19 and 26, at 8:45 a. m. The guests then met at the Clements home, where Highway Patrolman Ken Clements gave a talk and demonstrations on First Aid., The group was shown a slide projector and given information on other projectors and a strip-o-ma- tic to help them make a decision on the one to be given to the Delta Elementary School this fall, to be bought with the profits realized from the fashion show, "Fashion Fantasy", sponsored by the J. C. Wives in April. It is the Fire warden's responsibility to assure himself that adequate safeguards are provided to. protect life and property. Securing a permit does not relieve a burner of liability for a fire he may set but it does alert all protection agencies of the presence of a fire saving many dollars in needless 'Smoke Chasing". Miss Arjanna Dekker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arjaan Dekker of Delta, and Mr. Roy Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Wood of Delta were married Friday, June 3, in a ceremony in the Manti Temple. After the wedding the newly-weds newly-weds and all members of the bridal party were entertained at a lovely wedding breakfast. Host and hostess of the affair were Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Christopher-son, Christopher-son, of Manti, grandparents of the bridegroom. The new Mr. and Mrs. Wood made a short honeymoon trip and are now at home in Sutherland. The couple will be feted at a reception on Friday, June 10, in Deseret Stake House, where there will be dancing and a program. Everyone is invited to attend and participate in the evening's entertainment. Bob Jones, 'son of Mr. and Mrs Calvin Jones has enlisted in the Air Force for another 4 years. He is now stationed near San Iran cisco, California. Terry Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oz Johnson left for his base after a short visit with his family Fern Mortensen, Zelda Ogden Ivone and Gay Ogden drove to Salt Lake last Wednesday. Ivone stayed up to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Fay DeLeeuw for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fowles and family of Yost, Utah visited friends and relatives on Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Deem, Mar-lyn, Mar-lyn, and Parceel of Long Beach, California are visiting their friends and relatives here. Mrs. Edward Skidmore of Arizona Ariz-ona is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Evan Skidmore and family. Mrs. Margie Burr and children of California are visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr., and Mrs. M. J. Moody. Mrs. Elaine Renstrom of Provo spent the weekend with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Sorenson. Mr. Cecil Sampson visited Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden on Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson drove to Provo Friday to get Arva who has been attending the BYU this past year. Monday Arva left for San Francisco, Cal., with Mr. and Mrs. June Johnson. Mr. Burt Rigby visited his fiancee, fian-cee, Miss LaRue Anderson over the weekend. David Anderson visited in Spanish Span-ish Fork for a week with his uncle and family. A group of girls are preparing to leave for Salt Lake to dance in the MIA Dance Review. The Manti LDS Temple was the scene Friday June 3rd, of the marriage of Thola Hepworth and I. Joseph Kolan. The couple was accompanied by the bride's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Hep-worth, Hep-worth, and her sister and brother, Grace H. Hiatt and Melvin R. Hep-worth. Hep-worth. The impressive rites were performed by Elder Pratt Allied. The same evening a reception honoring the newlyweds was held in the Hinckley gymnasium. The guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Hepworth and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin I. Street. Serving as best man was Reed Street and attendants to the bride were Rae II. Woolsey, Faye S. Jorgensen and Roma Hepworth. The bride was clad in a lovely gown of white satin with lace and net overlay. The lace-trimmed net veil fell to waist length from a high seed-pearl tiara. The bridal bouquet was a single lavender orchid circled with white carnations carna-tions and satin ribbons. The bridal attendants wore pastel formals and carried nosegays of white roses and pink carnations. Mrs. Hepworth and Mrs. Street wore blue lace dresses and corsages of pink roses. At the guest book' was Mrs. Elaine T. Hepworth and Mrs. Grace H. Hiatt acted as hostess. The gift table was in charge of Mrs. Bernice H. Palmer, Mrs. Ida G, Kolan and Mrs. Ila S. Kolan. Serving of the guests was done by Verla Wright, Lester Hepworth, Harold Hepworth, Janet Reeve, Elsie Talbot, Amanda Judd, Joyceen Spencer, Kaye Hardy and Sylvia May Cropper. The evening's activities consisted consis-ted of dancing and a short program pro-gram with Melvin R. Hepworth acting as master of ceremonies. Beth Hepworth played a piano solo, "Melody of Love", followed by a reading by Mrs. Sebrina C. Eklns. The bride's father and brothers, Melvin, June and Harold, sang a quartet, "Wanting You" accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Talbot. Dale Johnson played a medley of songs on the accordian, and a ladies trio consisting of Ruth Talbot, Tal-bot, Bertha Love and Erma Cropper Crop-per sang, "Wonderful One". Mrs. Lester Johnson,, Sutherland, created the lovely wedding cake that was displayed throughout the evening. Music for dancing was furnished by the Bert Murdock orchestra or-chestra of American Fork. The hall was tastefully decorated with pas tel green drapery, palms, candel abra and a variety of cut and potted flowers. A wedding trip is planned thru Wyoming., Iowa,, Nebraska,, Minnesota Minn-esota to Bessemer, Michigan, home of Mr. Kolan's parents and returning retur-ning through the Dakotas. Wedding Vows To ile Said June 10 Wedding vows will be said June 10th in the Manti LDS Temple by Miss Barbara Whicker and Mr. Bevan Thompson. Miss Whicker and Mr. Thompson are both graduates of the Delta High School. Barbara is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whicker of Hinckley and Bevan is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Thompson of Lynndyl. A wedding reception honoring the young couple will be held June 11th in the Deseret Stake house. All their friends are cordially cord-ially invited to come. After a short honeymoon the new Mr. and Mrs. Thompson plan to make their home in Lynndyl. Country Club Is Entertained The Kitchen Cheffettei The Kitchen Cheffettes met on Tuesday, June 7, at the home of Margaret Sanderson.- The meeting was brought to order by the President, Pre-sident, Margaret Sanderson under the direction of the leaders Iris Holman and Karen Sanderson. The appointed officers to head the club are as follows: President, Margaret Sanderson; Vice President, Presi-dent, Susan Morley; Secretary, Diane Di-ane Lovell; Songleader, Mattle Lee Taylor; Reporter, Oneta Peterson, and party chairmen, Oneta Peterson Peter-son and Mattle Lee Taylor. After the order of business, a demonstration of how to make different kinds of sandwiches was made by Karen Sanderson. The girls took turns making them. Douglas Terry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Terry of Sugarville, Is expected home around June 13. after serving two years in the U. S. Army. He was a corporal with H & S Co., 317 TK Bn at Camp Stewart, Ga. Don and Barbara Morgan, and little daughters. Kelly Jo and Jodie arrived in Delta Tuesday to visit Mrs. Morgan's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Wright. They are re turning from two years at Kodiak Island, Alaska, where Mr. Morgan was school principal. All Hew!
