Frank Gaisford, American Amer-ican Fork was elected president of the Timpanogos First District Utah Federation of Women's Clubs, at the annual convention held Saturday. Representatives of the federated clubs of the dis trict from Provo, Orem, Pleasant Grove, American Fork and Lehi attended the convention held in the Pleasant Grove Third . ward church. American Fork was well represented by the attendance fi a large percentage of the memberships mem-berships of the eight federated clubs of this city. , Elections were conducted during dur-ing the general session held in the morning beginning at 10 o'clock. Other officers named to serve for the coming two years with Mrs. Gaisford include Mrs. Sherman Christensen; Provo, first vice-president; Mrs. William Cox, Orem, second vice-president; Mrs. Stanley Taylor, Lehi, secretary; secre-tary; Mrs. Kent Anderson, Provo, treasurer; Mrs. Alex Karren, American Fork, auditor; Mrs. D. R. Mitchell, Lehi, historian. Mrs. George W. Worthen, Provo, president, presided at the general morning and afternoon meetings. Anderson was honor ed on her birthday recently when her sons and daughters met at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Glen Holdaway, Vineyard. Coeds Join BYU Social Units organization in the near future. Ass'n. Artists Planning June Exhibit 6et Set for BetferN Members of the Associated Artists Art-ists of American Fork will exhibit ex-hibit at least sixty pictures at the art show to be held the end of the first week in June in the Legion Hall. The artists, numbering num-bering about 20, are expected to show at least three pictures each and none will have been exhibited before. The association is sponsoring spon-soring the show. Mrs. W. R. Halliday, chairman of the exhibit, is selecting her committees this week. The regular monthly meeting of the Associated Artists of American Fork was held Thursday Thurs-day evening at the home of Mrs. W. S. Groesbeck. Walton E. Foul-ger, Foul-ger, president, was in charge. The principal business transacted trans-acted was to discuss plans for the coming exhibit which the association is sponsoring the first week in June. There were 13 members present. The art association meets monthly, generally at the homes of the members. Last month, in lieu of the regular meeting. members, their partners and oth er guests enjoyed a visit to the art exhibit in Springville. Glen Turner conducted the tour. Seark Family Makes Occasion of Mother's Day The family of Mrs. Eliza C. Searle came home Saturday to pay her honor on Mother's Day and join in the lamny reunion Comintr from Shelley and Burley Idaho, Long Beach, Cal., Salt Lake City, Midvale, and American Fork were ten children, 47 grandchildren, grand-children, 38 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Ada Garfield, who has been living with Mrs. Searle the past winter. Taking charge of the dinner were Mrs. Lindsey J Ovard, Mrs. Leslie Parker, Mrs Frank G. Shelley, Mrs. Ellis M Parker, and Mrs. Leslie C.
