Show I THE LEHI SUN, LEHI, UTAH THURSDAY, AUGUST 12, PAGE EIGHT Guests at the home of Mrs Theo Pierson, Monday, were Mrs Josephine Phersan and Mrs Ethel Brindley of Pleasant Grove i Jay Higginsen returned Sun day after six weeks reserve training in the military camp at Marchlield, Calif. He is the son of Mrs. Waldemar Jensen. of Kansas City, Mo. They will return by motor Friday. Donl Peterson, Dean Peck and Dean Hunger were Logan visitors last week. They called on Arland Russon and Ivon Wall. Spencer Dransfield and Taylor Cox have completed their six weeks' reserve training at Camp Marchfield, noar Riverside, Calif. Taylor returned home Sunday, while Spencer is visiting with relatives and friends at Meridian, Calif. Both young men plan to attend the USAC at Logan this autumn. They will graduate after completing five quarters more. Mrs. Theo Pierson and Miss Minnie Flack spent Saturday in Salt Lake City, combining pleas ure and business. Mr. and Mrs. James Otis of Sugarhouse visited with Mrs. Alaf Holmstead and other relatives here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Duffin of Losan returned with Mrs. Duf fin's mother. Mrs. Ora Putnam who has been visiting with them for the past several weeks. Coming Com-ing down Tuesday they returned home Wednesday. A most pleasant surprise for Mrs. Don C. Loveridge Tuesday was the arrival of her foster son, Dr. Rav Larcen and Mrs. Larsen Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ramsey and children. Mrs. Lela Evans. Mrs. La Verde Peterson, Mrs. Kate Roberts and Mrs. Edith Fox returned Sunday after an enjoyable vacation trip to Yellowstone Park. Traveling by motor, they spent five days there. "And we didn t see a soul we knew," they said. Bishop and Mrs. Warren L Goates and their children, La Mar. Kenneth and Alice Anita returned last week from a most pleasant vacation in Yellowstone Park. Thev spent a week in the park, making the most of their first experience with the bears and other interesting things. Mr. and Mrs. Shirlef Powell were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Powell, their son, in Salt Lake City Sunday. Others in the group were Mrs. Sarah Reese and Lorin Powell of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nostrum of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors in Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bushman of Orem were visitors at the John Bushman home and attended church services in the First ward Sunday. Miss LuJean Ogden of Black' foot, Idaho, was a weekend visi tor of Miss Shirley Webb, at the Vern Webb home. Miss Ha Powell returned Mon day after spending several days at the home of a sister, Mrs. Kel ly Giles, in Pleasant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stephen- sen were weekend visitors at the J. Maiben Stephensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Abel Ekins and children left Sunday for their home in San Jose, Calif., after a two week's stay in Utah at the Gerald Taylor home and with other relatives. Mrs. Sarah Gaisford and her son, James A. Gaisford, returned Monday after a visit of several days in Rupert, Idaho. With them were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gaisford and Miss Sally Gaisford. They spent an enjoyable time at the K. L. McKenzie home, where they also enjoyed a visit with Floyd Schow. He brought news of Mrs. Celestia Schow, now past 80, who is well and living with her daughter Joyce in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Schow is field manager man-ager for the sugar company in Idaho. Birthdays Congratulations are in order for Bishop Ernest N. Webb, who celebrated his birthday Monday, August 9. He was honored at a family dinner. His daughter, Ila, Mrs. Franklin B. Adams of Salt Lake City, and her children were present for good wishes. Mr. Adams is in Fort Lewis, Wash, Covers were also laid for Mrs. Alta. Webb and her son Ernest, (Jack) of Provo. Howard Taylor was honored in Salt Lake City on his birthday Wednesday. Family members present at his home included Mr. and Mrs. Gerald R. Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Abel Ekins, visiting here from San Jose, Calif. Mrs. Louis Turner entertained for the birthday of her young daughter, Janice Sorenson, 9, Monday. A group of cousins and friends enjoyed refreshments and games together. Little Miss Diane McMillan, who turned 8 Wednesday, enter tained a group of friends Thurs dav at her home. Games and refreshments are scheduled. Mrs. F. A. Hunger entertained at her home last Wednesday in honor of her daughter Merlyn, whose ninth birthday occurred August 6. Games learned in Primary in their group study of the Scotch-Irish customs, were enjoyed. Mrs. Hunger has been the class leader for her daughter's daugh-ter's class. Refreshments were served. Friends present at the affair included Dean Russon, Connie Kirkham, Renee Russon, Furland Smith, Dorene Clark, Joyce Skinner, Skin-ner, Denise Taylor, Carol Ashton, LuDean Halliday, Diane Street, Ann Despain, Sherylyn Russon and Raima Despain.
