Show THURSDAY, MARCH- THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 1948 THE LEHI SUN, LEHI, UTAH ft -- - Local Items Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Glover of Provo visited Sunday at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Boyd J. Larsen. Boyd Ross registered Monday for the spring quarter at the Brigham Young University. Mr. and. Mrs. Stanley M. Tay lor. Miss Joan Taylor and Maur ice Taylor left last Friday for California. They will visit at the home of a sister to Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. O. R. Ivory. Visitors at the Frank W. Jones home Sunday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. George L. Symes and children of Provo. Mrs. Udine Wing spent a very enjoyable time in Ogden, Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. She was the guest of a cousin, Mrs. Harold Goates. Mrs. Barbara Trane and Miss Lorraine Driscell spent an enjoyable en-joyable evening - in Salt Lake City, Friday. They attended the concert given by the renowned contralto, Marion Anderson, at the tabernacle. Dean Hunger spent the weekend week-end at home here, returning to Provo Monday to register for the spring quarter at the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Donald D. Hogan of West Jordan visited at the McMillan home Monday. With them were the twins. Lee and Lynn, now four years old. They brought news of an old friend of Mrs. H. R. Petersen, Mrs. Laura Finlayson, who was recently taken tak-en to California by plane. Mrs. Finlayson will soon be 98 years old. Mrs. Mable Roberts is soendlne a short vacation in Lehi, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roberts. She is employed at the Alpha Chi Omego house at the University of Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Paul Shelley registered at Brigham Young University Monday for the spring semester. Mrs. Shelley, the former LaRae Evans, is majprlng in Marketing, Mr. Shel ley in business and accounting. The program in Sacrament meeting in the Third ward Sun day was conducted by the ward MIA. Speakers were Klea Ernst, who treated the subject. Faith; Marvin Jorgensen, Faith and Works; Freeman Barnes, Prayer; Marcia Colledge, Faith and Prayer. A vocal solo, "Teach Me to Pray," by Norma Curtis, was accompanied by Mrs. Jack Mitchell. Henry Ford's first horseless carriage was seen on Detroit streets June 4, 1886.
