All members are requested to attend. o Members of the Fort Wall camp met last Wednesday at the home j of Mrs. Elfreda Bushman for their opening meeting. Mrs. Pluma Zu-, Zu-, felt gave the lesson of "Pioneer ing in Utah and Wyoming," and Mrs. Margaret McMillan sang a vocal solo. The camp officers, Mrs. Florence Jensen, Mrs. Mary Ann Clark and Mrs. Bushman, were the hostesses. Mrs. Fern Russon, member of the county board, was a special guest. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wanlass announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Julia Fay, to Max J. Fenn, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Fenn of Benson, Arizona. The ceremony was performed in the Salt Lake Temple, Wednesday, Oc- trher 23. hv Fres. Burton. with 91 ; relatives and close friends in at- tpnrianrfi. The bride is a graduate of the, Lehi high school and the Merritt Business college of Oakland, Calif. She was employed for some time in the office of the Utah Poultry Producers' Association, and for the Church Welfare in Salt Lake Fifth ward M. I. A., serving in the presidency of the Y. W. M.j I. To Wayman Winslow, the efficient effi-cient editor of the paper staff, and his associates we give loud acclaim for the number and quality of the papers printed during this school year. Friday morning there was a pep assembly which consisted of; a vocal vo-cal solo by Lu Jean Peterson, a reading by yours truly, after which our energetic cheerleaders took over for the remainder of the assembly leading us in yells that were used in the football game with Payson that afternoon. The boys put a lot into it but we lost 12-6. The Lehi band played for the Democratic rally Friday night showing the spirit and enthusiasm of this group. The G. A. A. announces their "Dream Boy" dance to be held in our gymnasium on Dec. 14. The young couple are making their home in Benson, where the groom is employed, o Leatha Carson, Reporter Bud Crossman, son of Mrs. Ef-fie Ef-fie Crossman escaped what might have been a fatal injury Saturday Satur-day morning while hunting pheasants. pheas-ants. The gun of Norman Erick-son Erick-son accidentally went off, shooting shoot-ing Bud in the leg. Mr. Erick-son Erick-son rushed Bud to the Lehi Hospital, Hos-pital, where Dr. Eddington administered admin-istered aid to him. Bud remained in the hospital overnight. He is reported to be doing fine now. Relief Society conference was held in Fairfield Sunday night. Sister Udine Wing of the stake Relief Society presidency and Brother Fox, R. S. councilman, were present, also Frank Jones and his ladies' chorus from the Third ward, accompanied by Sister Sis-ter Johnson. A very effective outline out-line was carried out. The "Secret Pals" met together Oct. 31 (Halloween) to enjoy a progressive supper. A grand time, as well as a spooky time, was had by all. Congratulations are in order for Garth Jones, son of Mrs. Sophro-nia Sophro-nia DuBois. Garth was selected as outstanding student of the U. S. A. C. at Logan. This is a high honor for . Garth. Mrs. Florence Butt, Sophronia DuBois and Leatha Carson attended attend-ed Primary union meeting Monday. Mon-day. Mr. Sam Huggard is reported improving from illness which he has been suffering for the past two weeks. Mr. Jones is a political science major, with economics as his minor, mi-nor, and plans to attend Stanford university following graduation from the U. S. A. C, to study international in-ternational law. . During hia freshman year he was secretary of the agriculture club and chairman of the freshman fresh-man assembly. He was sophomore class president, basketball manager, man-ager, and selected for Blue Key, national honorary fraternity. He joined Sigma , Alpha Epsilon, so cial fraternity, and held various offices during his three years' membership, including two years as house manager. He was a mem-ber mem-ber of the, varsity debating team which made several trips to California, Cali-fornia, Colorado, Idaho, and various va-rious parts of Utah. 1 He is a son of Mrs. Ralph DuBois Du-Bois of Fairfield. When in high school he was active in FFA work, and represented the local chapter in the state public speaking contest. Building permits for Lehi topped top-ped $200,000.00 total estimated cost of building and remodeling both commercial and residential structures in Lehi for the first 10 months of 1946, it is revealed by R. J. Whipple, building inspector in-spector for Lehi City and Utah county.
