Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Evans and baby daughter, Barbara, of Salt Lake City came Wednesday and will visit during the celebration with Mrs. Evans' parents, Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Worlton. Local Items Miss Gertrude Anderson left Saturday Sat-urday for Berkeley, Calif ornia, where she will attend summer school. Mrs. Delos Durrant and children returned to their home in Castle-gate Castle-gate Sunday, after a week's visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Barnhart. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Chilton and children of Shelley, Idaho, are here for a two weeks visit with their par' ents, Mrs. Alma Beck and Mr. and Mrs. John Chilton. - Mrs. Alma Beck, Mrs- George Whitman and Mrs. Emma Jane Roberts spent Monday visiting In Provo. ' Mi3s Betty Whipple of El Paso, Texasv has been spending the cast week here at the- home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bradshaw. , Miss LaPrlel Goodwin entertained the members of the Pandora club at her home Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Hadfleld of Alhambra, California, and Miss Donna Hadfifeld who has been vis iting in Alhambra arrived here Sun day afternoon. They were called here on account of f the accidental death of their brother, Glen. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Gudmund sen of Salt Lake City spent last Wednesday night visiting here with Mrs. Lettie Gudmundsen. Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Roberts, who fere spending the summer in Provo, spent last Wednesday here with Mr. Roberts' parents, Mr. and Mrs-O. Mrs-O. J. Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. Wane Christensen were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Rasmussen of Provo. Mr. Quey Hebrew and Charlene Doutre of Ely, Nevada, were visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchlngs, Sunday. Miss Dorothy Stice of Highland visited for a few days with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stice- Mr. and Mrs. Eben Speer and daughter, Mrs. Francis Bromley of Salt Lake City visited here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stice. Sunday Mrs. Jennie Nostrom and Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Brown were vis iting in Spanish Fork. Mrs. Nos trom spent the day visiting with her sister. Mrs. H. P- Hardy, and Mr. and Mrs. Brown visited with their relatives. Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Worlton attended at-tended the State Dental convention at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City last week. Saturday evening they attended the banquet and dancing party given in connection with the convention. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mieklejohn and daughter, Delores, of Tooele, called to visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Strasburg and family on Sunday. Mrs. Ellen Thomas spent from Wednesday until Sunday visiting in Salt Lake City with her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. U. A. Jones. ; Mr. and Mrs. Jones brought her home Sunday evening. While here they also visited with Mr. and Mrs. J. C- Wanlass. Mr. and Mrs. Newton A. Ficklin and daughter lone, of Gonzales, Louisiana, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ficklin and son, Norris, and daugh ter, Doris, of Angola, Louisiana, spent Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bush man. Mr. Ficklin was a mission ary companion of Wayne Bushman. Thursday Mrs. John Bushman, Mrs. Leo Hadfield and Wayne Bushman accompanied the Fickllns through the Salt Lake temple. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Winn and family of Bakersfield, California, returned home last Thursday after spending a week here with Mr. Winn's mother, Mrs. Mary Winn. Mrs. Delbert Oxborrow and children chil-dren of Ely, Nevada, are visiting here with Mr. and Mrs- John Hutchlngs Hutch-lngs and Mrs. Thomas Oolledge. Miss Laurel Hutchlngs, who has beeen visiting in Ely for the past two weeks returned home with her. Mr. and Mrs. Alwyn Call and daughter, Shirley, of Duchesne, spent Sunday here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Heber J. Webb. Mr. Call is Mrs. Webb's brother. . Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Anderson and three children of Sacramento. California, are here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wane Christensen. Mrs. Anderson is Mrs. Christensen's sister. Sydney Manning, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Manning, who has been stationed at Camp San Luis Obispo, California, with the National Guard unit, is expected to arrive home this week. He is coming home on account of his health. He has asth ma and the climate there makes his condition worse. Mrs. Claude L. Curtis and sons, Robert, Paul and Ray, of Salt Lake City, Dr. and Mrs- Harold L Goodwin Good-win and daughters, Elaine and Barbara, of Park City and Miss Dorothy Hawkins of Salt Lake City were guests of Bishop and Mrs. S. Marriages Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss lone Jackson of Cedar City to Anton H. Lambert of Lehl. Both are students of the Branch Agricultural college at Cedar Ce-dar City. The bride is a daughter of Frank B. Jackson of Toquerville and Mr. Lambert is a son of Mr. and Mrs- Joseph H. Lambert of Lehl The wedding ceremony was performed per-formed Sunday at 5 p. m. at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smith of Cedar City. Miss Jackson has been prominent in music circles at the Branch col lege, having appeared in three col legiate operas in addition to numerous num-erous other special musical presentations. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Lehl high school and has been attending the Branch college for the past two years, where he has been a member of the college grid squad and is a member of Sigma Chi Rho fraternity. The couple will make their home in Cedar City for the present. Dr. and Mrs. H. E. Flanders of Middle town, Ohio, visited here last week with Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Worlton and other relatives. They are moving from Middletown to Hammond, Indiana, to make their home. Mrs. Flanders was formerly Delia Woolston of this city. Thursday Miss Fay Wanlass attended at-tended a convention in Salt Lake City for all office employes of the Utah Poultry Association. The marriage was solemnized Saturday, June 28 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Knight in Salt Lake City. Mr. Knight, grandfather of the bride groom, performed the ceremony, in the presence of the immediate fam ilies and a few close friends. The bride was lovely in a wedding gown of silk, marquisette. Her veil was of net edged with lace and was held in place by a coronet of pearls. She carried a beautiful bouquet of bride's roses and butterfly sweet peas. Her sister, Miss Bonnie Cassity, was bridesmaid. She wore a gown of pale green. Fred K. Wanlass was best man for his brother. Tuesday evening a delightful wedding reception was given in honor of the young couple in the Grantsville amusement hall. The young couple will make their home in Grantsville. The marriage took place Saturday, June 28, at the home of the bride in Spanish Fork. A wedding reception was given in their honor at Spanish Fork Tuesday Tues-day evening. Miss Bramhall is a graduate of the Spanish Fork high school and has been a student of the Brigham Young university. Mr. Clark is a graduate of the Cyprus, high school of Magna and a student of the Utah, State Agricultural Agri-cultural college at Logan. Mr. Clark is now employed at the Illinois Powder Company, located at Spanish Fork, where they will make their home. He is a grandson grand-son of Mrs. Thomas Clark of this city.
