Anderson and two children of Tooele and Mrs. Walker and children of Garfield, spent a few days of this week visiting here with Mrs. Stanley Taylor. Miss Verland Evans left last Thursday Thurs-day for Santaquin for an indefinite visit with Miss Naomi Teitjen. (Margaret Thurman and Winn Carlisle, of American Fork, had their tonsils removed Monday at the local hospital. Mr. Samuel Cox, of Ogden, visited in this city Thursday and Friday with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Edward Cox. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Fagan and daughter, Thelda, motored to Salt Lake Thursday on a combined business busi-ness and pleasure trip. Wayne Carson underwent a serious operation for ruptured appendix at the local hospital Friday. At the present writing he is reported to be on the improve. Mrs. John Bone in company with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Giles and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Everlly and children, child-ren, of Salt Lake, left Sunday for a ten days motor trip through Yellow-stone Yellow-stone Park. Mr. and Mrs. EH Webb and children, child-ren, of Idaho Falls, arrived here Friday Fri-day for a week's visit with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Adamson and family enjoyed an outing at Provo Canyon from Wednesday until Sun day evening. Miss Berniece Russon, who is em ployed at Provo, spent the fore part of the week with her jparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Russon. Mrs. A. L. Wilcox and son, Dean, spent Friday and Saturday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wanlass at the Jordan Narrows. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Holmstead spent Sunday and Monday in American Ameri-can Fork with Mrs. Holmstead's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. William Roberts. Mrs. Leona Steel and two daughters of American Fork, have been visiting here for a few days this week at the B. W. Brown home. Mrs. Alice Phillips returned home Saturday from Morgan, where she has been visiting with (Mr. and Mrs. Everet Anderson for the past week. Mr. Eldon Comer motored here Tuesday from Tooele to get Mrs. Comer, who has been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Comer for the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hutchings and children and Mrs. Sarah Berry left Sunday for Idaho where they will injoy a week's vacation visiting with friends and relatives. Misses LaRetta Anderson and Florence Russon In company with Miss Russon's brother, Mr. John Russon, Rus-son, left Friday for California, where they will enjoy a two weeks visit. Mrs. J. Whitcomb entertained Thursday afternon at a kensington at her home. The af ternoon was pleasantly pleasant-ly spent in social chat and sewing and a tasty lunch was served to sixteen ladies. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hackett and daughter, Margaret, and Mrs. Junius Banks left Monday for Los Angeles, California, where they will visit for two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hackett and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Doll had as their guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Williams and son, Jack, and Mrs Doll's brother. Homer J. Smith, all of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Strange of American Fork, and Mrs, Fred Fowler of Seattle, Washington. Misses Gail Webb and Helen Taylor entertained at a prettily arranged shower Monday evening at the home of the latter in honor of Mrs. Harold Burleigh. The rooms were attractive ly decorated in pink and white. The evening was spent in playing games, followed by the serving of a dainty lunch to thirty guests. Mrs. Burleigh was presented with many beautiful and useful gifts. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. A, E. Manning entertained at dinner complimentary to Mrs. L. Harris of Chicago. A bowl of sweet peas form ed an attractive center piece for the table. Covers were laid for Mrs. L. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. John Roberts, Mrs. Sarah ' Taylor and daughter, Marvel, Mrs. Hannah Rolfe, Mrs. Charlotte Cartwright, Miss Edna Rolfe and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Manning. Man-ning.
