American Lgiji Auxiliary It-Is Jessica Jaynes Jessica Jaynes Jessica Jill Jaynes, daughter of Steven and Jill Jaynes of Orem, currently attends Mountain View High School. She is presently present-ly serving as the Orem Youth Council Mayor and Executive Secretary on the Utah Valley Youth Council. Her favorite hobby is swimming swim-ming which would justify her time spent with Mountain View Swim Team for the past few years. Jessica's goals include attending a University and studying in the field of Dietetics. She also enjoys singing, playing the piano, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to attending attend-ing Girls' State this summer. sum-mer. Eliza Moody Eliza Moody Eliza was born and raised in Orem, Utah. She has lived in the same neighborhood all her life, if not the same house. Currently, she is a junior at Orem High School. Sometimes it seems like she is a very busy person. She participates in a lot of time-consuming time-consuming activities. School takes up most of her time. She is very dedicated to her schoolwork. Because of that she is on the Honor Roll at Orem High. Other people have noticed her dedication to her education and nominated nomi-nated her for awards like "Sophomore Scholar" and Girls' State. Recently, she went to state with Orem High Debate team. She enjoys arguing her point. She also likes presenting facts and logic to individuals and groups. Perhaps that is why she likes science so much. Science is easily her favorite subject in school. She likes experimenting and obtaining obtain-ing data. In particular, chemistry fascinates her. . She has advanced to the state science fair with a project proj-ect she did on oscillation chemical reactions. Her activities are not limited lim-ited to academics. She is on the Orem High Tennis team and the swim team. The practices for these sports usually consume most of her time out of school. She enjoys these sports and has been involved in both since she was very young. She likes being active, especially during the summer. She spends a lot of spare time reading. She enjoys reading many different types of books, but she prefers books with very real, human characters. She also enjoys spending time with friends, but she also enjoys meeting new people. - ' Cassie Revelli Cassie Revelli Cassie Revelli has been running track since about eight years old. She is currently cur-rently a member of the Mountain View High School Cross Country and Track teams. She was on the State Championship Girls Basketball team at Mountain View High School during the 2001-2002 2001-2002 school year where she received the award of the Most Improved Player on the Sophomore team. This past year she made he Junior National Skeleton Team, and had the opportunity to go to Lake Placid, New York and compete for Junior Nationals and The U.S. Nationals She is a junior in High School and is trying to complete the requirements require-ments to receive her Associates Degree from Utah Valley State College when she graduates from high school. Currently she is enrolled in classes to receive 14 credit hours. She is a member of HOSA, Health Occupations Students of America; where she served as the Sophomore class representative represen-tative during the 2001-2002 2001-2002 school year. After graduation she plans on traveling to Russia to teach English for a semester, receiving college credit for that. Upon completion of her bachelor's degree she plans to attend Medical School where she would pursue the career of an emergency room doctor. Brenna Jackson Brenna Jackson Brenna Jackson is a junior jun-ior at Orem High School. She is the daughter of David and Susan Jackson. She is a member of the National Honors Society's council, the Key Club council coun-cil and will be next year's Student Body Publicity Chairman. She also starts varsity on her lacrosse team and was last year's JV offensive MVP. She has a cumulative 4.0 GPA which she hopes to maintain main-tain throughout her high school career. She is currently cur-rently serving as the president presi-dent of her LDS church group. She is excited to have the opportunity to attend Girl's State. i V t Brittany Call Brittany Call Brittany Call is the daughter of Kevin and Denise Call. She was born in Robinsdale, Minnesota and moved to Utah shortly after. Brittany loves to play soccer and has played for Orem High's varsity team since she was a freshman. She also loves to play the violin and has joined the Timpanogos Chamber Orchestra. Some of her other hobbies include playing tennis, learning to play the guitar, rock climbing, and reading. read-ing. One of her two greatest great-est loves are her family and her religion. She enjoys people and loves to help and serve them. Brittany has coached at the UVSC kids soccer camps. She is also a member mem-ber of National Honor Society and enjoys the service they do there. In the future she hopes to play college soccer and become a coach, as well as earn a degree in Chemistry Education. JonAnn Gledhill JonAnn Gledhill JonAnn Gledhill is the daughter of Jon B. and JulieAnn Gledhill of Orem. JonAnn is a member mem-ber of the National Honor Society, has carried straight A's from Kindergarten through 11th grade and has received many recognition's recogni-tion's for her scholastic abilities. Not only is JoAnn an excellent scholar schol-ar but is talented in many other areas. As a young girl she has a strong desire to learn to play the piano. At age 11 her family acquired a piano and JonAnn began lessons. Although she was not a "natural" at piano, through dedication and discipline she has become and excellent pianist. JonAnn has a great love for theater and music. She has been involved with many plays and musicals both at Canyon view Junior High and Orem High School and is now rehearsing for a play at the SCERA Shell. JonAnn also enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and being involved in church and community activities. . I 4 : ; Danielle Murphy Danielle Murphy Danielle Kristin Murphy is currently a student at Orem High School. She participates par-ticipates in many extracurricular extracur-ricular activities. She has had a part time job at Schlotzsky's Deli for the past two years and recently begun an internship at the ProvoOrem Chamber of Commerce. Murphy enjoys writing, organizing, photography and dancing. She is on her school's Literary Magazine Staff and is part of next years yearbook staff. She is the president of the Orem High Drill Team and Captain of their Student Congress. She is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and the Publicity Chairman for her local DECA Chapter. Murphy also belongs to her school's National Honor Society, Model United Nations and Key Club. She is extremely grateful and excited for this opportunity to go to girls' State and hopes to learn a lot. Jamyn Swenson Jamyn Swenson Jamyn Swenson has been selected to attend Utah Girls' State 2003. She is currently a Junior at Timpanogos High School. Jamyn is the oldest daughter daugh-ter of Michael and Kathy Swenson. She was born in Eugene, Oregon and has lived in Oregon, Virginia, and Utah. Jamyn has excelled in school and has earned the All Region-Academic Region-Academic Excellence Award both in 2002 and 2003. Jamyn enjoys dance, travel, and community service. Jamyn serves as secretary on the Timpanogos Timpsichorean Drill Team. She has been a Drill Team member for two years. The Timpsichoreans have won both State and National awards. Jamyn has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. In April 2003, Jamyn Participated in "Close Up Washington," a week-long study visit to Washington, D.C. where she experienced the United States government and the political process firsthand. She is looking forward to extending her understanding understand-ing of American Government during Girls' State. Stee Diana Perry Diana Perry Diana Perry is the daughter of Lee and Carolyn Perry of Orem. Diana has maintained a 4.0 GPA and is enrolled in many AP and honors classes. She was OHS cheerleader for two years, studied piano for ten years, and played on the OHS tennis team for three years. She participates on the debate team, FBLA, DECA, Model UN, National Honor Society, and was a member of the OHS constitutional convention con-vention committee this year. She serves as Laurel President in the LDS church and was recently chosen for Senior Cabinet at Orem High. Cassandra Sutton Cassandra Sutton Cassandra is a junior at Orem High School. She is on the High Honor Roll, a member of the National Honor Society, and has consistently been a 4.0 student. A very talented young lady, she plays the violin and is the string leader in the OHS Orchestra. She is also Orchestra President and a member of the Timpanogos Chamber Orchestra. She uses her musical talents to serve others playing for Church meetings, firesides and similar activities as well as for weddings, family gathering and other socialcommunity functions. func-tions. She is a member of the OHS Tennis Team, and has received a few awards in this area, including 1st Place Region Tennis Team for 2001-2002 2001-2002 and 2002-20003. Cassy has great leadership leader-ship skills and loves to be active in all things. She serves as Junior Class Secretary on OHS Student Council and has been an active participant in the planning and implementing implement-ing of school activities and programs for this current school year. She loves to write and has been a member Newspaper and Yearbook staff. She is an active participant in both Key Club and Model UN. She loves to serve others as shown by her willingness willing-ness to accept Church responsibilities.
