A number of members of the Orem Youth City Council were part of the team working at one home, and were reluctant to stop long enough to comment to the press on their involvement involve-ment in the Blitz. Stephanie, Bartlett, a senior sen-ior at Orem High School, said she "just wanted to help out." Colby Green, the Youth Council city manager, manag-er, said, "I just like serving," as he added tree cuttings to a growing pile of debris. Fowler said he believes the Blitz helps citizens "take ownership in the city", and also makes positive posi-tive memories. "If a family or a group has worked on a home, I don't think they can drive by without remembering what was done," he explained. "It was fun to see how the projects turned out," Fowler added. "Some volunteers volun-teers were uncertain that an assignment could get done, but when a group of 30 to 40 people come together to work, it really is a 'blitz.' The people had fun...
