Which are you, and how do you know? If vou're the kind of person that looks at life with the glass half empty you will pull others down, you'll go out of the way to make sure everyone knows the bad that came out of any situation (including happy ones) and you'll have a scowl on your face most of the time. If you're the kind of person per-son that looks at life with the glass half full you will go out of your way to help others, look for the silver lining that comes with a dark cloud, and you have a smile on your face most of the time. It's no fun for you ,as well as those around you, if you're a glass-half-empty kind of person, but it's not hard to change that. After all, a scowl is just a smile upside down. Besides it's a lot easier to be positive it) life. When you have a negative attitude toward something of someone, it rubs off on your friends and family and pretty soon everyone is negative and unhappy. Ciera Loveless, junior at American Fork High School, agrees with Corey. She believes be-lieves your attitude affects those around you "because if you are in a bad ffiood, then it seems like the people around you are, too." The same thing can happen hap-pen when you have a gixid attitude. Having a positive attitude in life will help those around you to he more positive, posi-tive, too. Your attitude will create a chain reaction. Whether it's a glass half empty or half full, reaction re-action is up to vou. All 1 know Is that when 1 nave a positive attitude my day goes 100 percent per-cent better than it would if 1 had a negative attitude. It can be hard sometimes to act happy when you're having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, but even pretending pre-tending to be happy can make life better.
