Show Symphony The Utah Valley Sym phony's 47th season will include a wide range of music, from traditional classics to the premiere of a contemporary musical. Performances - all ' at 7:30 p.m. on a Wednesday and Thursday in the Provo Tabernacle - will be conducted con-ducted by Bryce Rytting, now in his seventh year with the 75-member orchestra. How to maximize a child's development by learning what they are doing in school The developmental stages of families and how to adapt work, rules, and relationships to the benefit ofall. The developmental Oktoberfest The aroma of bratwurst will fill the crisp autumn air as Snowbird will celebrate cele-brate Oktoberfest every weekend until Oct. 10. Polka music and fun await the entire family along with scenic tram rides to Hidden Peak. Events are scheduled from noon until 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, with plenty of food, dancing, danc-ing, yodeling, and games to entertain the entire family. Local and national German polka bands and yodelers will perform on the main stage, including the Salzburger Echo and the Bavarians. In addition, addi-tion, the alpenhorns will also be played on top of Hidden Peak. In Kinderland, children may decorate their own Oktoberfest buttons, ride a giant super slide, or have their faces painted, while adults enjoy bratwurst and sauerkraut, sauer-kraut, German chocolate cake or pretzels. Visitors may also enjoy the work of 35 local crafters from around the region, who will offer goods for sale. Attracting over 70,000 visitors during the celebration, cele-bration, Oktoberfest has grown to become one of the largest festivals in the state of Utah.
