Durrant Reed Campbell Bullock Gary Edward Ludlow, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend has gone to be in peace with the 1T(1 on FJecember S. at age fl. Oary was born on July 21. 194!) in Alhambra. California to his wonderful parents, Charles Max (deceased) and Virginia Ludlow. Lud-low. Me was raised in Urigham City. Utah and Sacramento, California. Cali-fornia. On June 8. 1985 ( iary married mar-ried his beautiful wife and best friend, Laurie Item Anderson in the Provo, LOS Temple. Gary was also a devoted roll model and loving father for his 8 wonderful children; Summer (Rob). Sunny, Zachariah (THD), Derrick (Sylvia), (Syl-via), Nathan (Sabine). Jacob (Bethany). (Beth-any). Reljekah, Matthew, (iary was thrilled and excited to be a warm and loving grandfather to 9 beautiful grandchildren: Anthony. Leah, Christopher, Sienna. James, Ethan. Timothy, Julianna and Isalx'la. I le is also remembered by his three beloved siblings; Greg (deceased), Iteinna. and Itemis. Gary graduated from UCLA . with a Bachelor of Arts in 1971. He kved sports, acting, writing, and ax iking. He loved taking his family on vacations. Gary also ran cross-country for UCLA, which lead to his love of cycling. At the peak of his cycling career, he won 2nd place in the California State championships and completed several Logan to Jackson (Lotoja) races as well as many others. (Jary had a great sense of humor and always loved to make people laugh. He was a faithful member of the American Fork 291 h Ward and served actively in various callings As an award winning insurance and real estate agent, he worked very hard for his family fam-ily who were his greatest joy. We love him and miss hirn and we celebrate his life. A viewing will be held on Friday, Fri-day, December 12th at the Anderson Ander-son and Son's Mortuary, 49 E. 100 .V. Stewart was born Dec. 17. 1912. to William Wil-liam Albert and Marin-da Marin-da Mayne Durrant of American Fork. He was the eldest of nine brothers and sisters, all but two of whom (John and George) preceded pre-ceded him in death. On May 25, 1934. he married the love of his life, Leola Goates, in the Salt Lake Temple. To this union were born four children: S. Olani (Gayle). Vicki Thompson (Heber), Stephen W (Francoise) and Mary Anne Peck (Ronald). 26 grandchildren, and 60 great-grandchildren and one great -great -grandchild. After nearly 73 years together. Leola preceded him in death on Easter of last year. Stewart grew up in American Fork and graduated from AT. High School in 1931. He attended BYU and the U of U prior to his marriage. In 1935, he and Leola were called on a mission to Hawaii for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Following Fol-lowing their mission they settled in Lehi for a brief time until they completed a home in American Fork. During the ensuing years, Stewart worked for American Fork City, the Utah Poultry Co-op, New York Life, the Utah Growers Grow-ers and Shippers and the Utah Celery Co-op. In 1955 he was hired to be the general manager of the Matanuska Valley Farmers Farm-ers Cooperative Association in Palmer, Alaska. Fie left Alaska in 1963 to become the President of the Alaskan-Canadian Mission of the LDS Church with headquarters headquar-ters in Vancouver, Canada. Upon completing that mission in 1966, he and Leola moved back to Utah where he took a position at LDS Church headquarters. He served . on a number of Church committees commit-tees and worked closely with Church leaders in developing the Basic Unit Program. Fie eventually eventu-ally became Director of the La-manite La-manite and Minorities Program of the Church. Upon his retirement in 1983, he was appointed director direc-tor of the Hawaii Temple Visitors Center where he and Leola served for two years. Active in his church throughout his life, he has served in numerous callings including Bishop, Branch President, High Councilor, and Regional Representative of the Council of the Twelve in addition to Mission President. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the American Fork 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 320 N. 100 E. Friends and family called Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 PM at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery. He was born to Harold Campbell and Ivy Agnus Peterson Bullock Bull-ock on July 14. 1920. He mar ried Katrueen Elizabeth Currie on July 16, 1940 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Temple on March 3, 1950. To their union they had eight sons and four daughters. He worked for Geneva Steel for 34 years and served in the Army during W.VV.II. He enjoyed gardening, farming, hunting, traveling and he had a great sense of humor. He especially loved sports. He was loved by everyone and he served a mission with his wife in the Phillipians and they also served in the Manilla Temple, the Provo and Mount Timpanogos Temples. Reed was a teacher at the Utah Development Center for 16 years and loved serving the patrons there. Reed is survived by eight sons: Dan (Norma), Anoka. Minnesota. David (Kathy). Fairfax, Iowa, Douglas Paul (Tonya), Squamish, Washington, Steven, Mountain Home. Idaho, Jon (Sharee), Lin-don; Lin-don; Michael (Orpha), American Fork; Joseph. Heriman; Randy (Diana). Sarjdy; three daughters; Bonnie McKinney, American Fork; Denese Bullock, American Fork; Marcie (Mike) Hold-erness, Hold-erness, New Plymouth, Idaho; 127 grandchildren & greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother; Larry (Joyce) Bullock Bull-ock and sister; Carma Jansen; sister-in-law, Uintah Bullock, Salt Lake City; brother-in-law.
