When it comes to football, Orem running back Tucker Lamb is similar; he can just play. Although he is never the biggest or strongest player on the field, and rarely the fastest, fast-est, Lamb is often the best. When asked about why he chose to focus on football, Lamb simply said, "I like those other sports, but football was what I was good at; I just got it." He just got it. So perhaps that explains how he is able to do things like run a total of almost 200 yards on a 60-yard 60-yard touchdown run against Bountiful in which he changed direction twice in the backfield before racing past the defense. Or maybe it clarifies how he can amass more than 200 yards of total offense against Timpanogos despite having a pair of sprained and heavily taped ankles. Maybe that will comfort the defenders Lamb has sped past this season on See LAMB, Page 14 MARIO RUIZNorth County Mountain View's TJ. One of those games is this I'riday's huge Region Re-gion 7 matchup between Orem and Timpview. Both teams are undefeated in region play and although it's the middle of the season, the region championship will likely be determined by the winner. "It's in the middle of the season, sea-son, but it is the season," said Orem coach Bob Steele. "When we beat them we're in control of our own destiny." Not only will the winner of the game be in the driver's seat for the region crown, but it will likely be able to go on cruise control the rest of the way. The game takes on some extra meaning because the T'Birds have several players who originally planned on playing for Orem. However, the Tigers won't use that as an excuse as coach Steele expects a hard-fought game. "They're going to know they were in a game when it's over," Steele predicted. I Mountain View at Spring-ville, Spring-ville, Friday, 7 p.m.: The Bruins sit alone in third place in the region with a 2-1 record and have a good chance of moving into second place if they can pull off a win over the 1-5 Red Devils. Mountain View has run the ball effectively all season long and may look to do so even more considering Springville -has shutdown corner Cameron Comer manning one side of the field. I Pleasant Grove at Timpanogos, Friday, 7 p.m.: The T'Wolves started the season with region championship aspirations as-pirations and although those hopes are still alive, they basically basi-cally will need to win out to See FORWARD, Page 14 Ik ' . .v Mister ' 24-Hour Emergency Service Fair and Consistent Pricing with No Hidden Costs 01-311-8644 30- SPBHlfl www.Kijsfarsuorky.ccfii & Professionals In Dentisi E o "ro c u TJ ro a meaicam Accepted Se Habla Espanol Specializing In: 5 M E !i TO . . -i 1. 1 SUITE 100 OREM 4 - - financing Aiiljb)c t 262 N.
