Cost of the dinner is $13. For more information call Joan Hahn at 423-1072. Elder Quest is a life-long learning organization sponsored spon-sored by UVSU for seniors over 50. Classes run September Septem-ber through January with second sec-ond semester running January through April. Schedule, dates and curriculum for fall classes will be presented by the teachers teach-ers at the dinner. Classes offered include literature lit-erature by Dale and Margene Shumway; journal writing, Helen Weeks; history of Christian Chris-tian missions, Lanny Britsch; beginning Shakespeare, EUaree Howard; Religious freedom of the states, Howard Biddulph; Digital photography, Paul Meyers; water color, Barbara Wardle; Becoming our better self, Phyllis Hansen; History of Egypt, Don Norton; World"s greatest short stories, Richard Cracroft; Classic old movies, Jim Ogren; Mexican Revolution, Revolu-tion, Ted Warner; and The world and I by Richard Reiser. Orem Senior Friendship Center Membership is required to participate in any of the Orem Senior Friendship Center classes and programs. Cost for center membership is $3 per year or $25 for a lifetime membership. More informa-. informa-. tion on the center is available at 229-7111. Sept. 12 The Wendover Turn-Around will leave the center at 8 a.m. and cost is $8. Sept. 19 Seniors can visit the Hogle Zoo for $7. The small bus leaves at 9 a.m. from the center. Bus leaves at 6:30 p.m. Other news Driver safety courses The Friendship Center is hosting host-ing the AARP Driver Safety Course on Sept. 12 and Sept. 13 from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost for the class is $10 per student, and class size is limited to 20 students. Seniors can register for the course at the center. Luncheons Those who haven't been to the center lunch for a while are asked to call one day in advance so enough meals for those attending can be provided. pro-vided.
