We are in the midst of moving to a new home. For all of you who have moved, you know the stress and pains that come with moving. mov-ing. There is no easy way to move all your belongings, children chil-dren and pets stress free. We have tried to keep things easy, but it seems that no matter mat-ter how organized and neat you try to keep things it always works better in your mind then when you actually start packing pack-ing the moving truck. We have been grateful for all of the people who have spent countless hours and strained their muscles on our behalf. I think the question that has been asked the most while we have had helpers, is "What is for dinner?" Now, most people who know me know that there is always something cooking in my cook in' place, but this week there has been nothing worth coming back for. We have packed up all of my cooking equipment which has left us with sandwiches and fast food. I think the best meal we have had were the simple sand- FRENCH DIP SANDWICHES 1 1 tsp olive oil 1 onion sliced in half 1 4 (6 inch) sub rolls 1 2 Tablespoons butter softened Left over roast beef I Provolone cheese or cheese of your choice. After your Sunday roast there are always those few pieces of meat that you are not sure what to do with. This is a recipe to hold on to for Monday evenings. You will enjoy this recipe time and time again because of its flavor and simplicity. So to answer my question as to what makes a house a home, my answer would be .. hearing hear-ing the garage open knowing that my husband is home and safe, hearing pitter patter feet on my floor, wiping smudges off my windows, making a mess in the kitchen with our kids and simply filling our home with guests who we love and know they love us as well. These are the things that make a house a home. So, no matter where you go it's not the house, it's the memories you make inside that make it a home. I hope you will make memories with this delicious French dip recipe as you gather gath-er those you love around you for dinner. Enjoy and I will look forward to more batter chatter next week.
