She was m - -tt? born in L.'hi. the fourth of five children on October 21. 1918 to hd ward I-arsen and Clara Wood house liirsen She was a wonderful won-derful daugh ter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Raised in Ix.'hi, she graduated from Brigham Young University in 1942. She married Dr. Guy A. Richards in Washington D C. on IX-cemlx-T 26, 1942; the marriage was later solemnized in the Mt. Timpanogos M)S Temple. Since 1948 she remained an active member of the American Fork fjth ward She is survived by husband of 65 years. Dr. Guy Adams Richards, Rich-ards, son Guy K. (Susan), daughter, daugh-ter, Carolina (Curtis) Wright, sons Dan and Doug, l.'i grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and Sister Lois Skrlec. She was preceded pre-ceded in death by two grandsons, Wade Richards and Greg Wright, parents, sisters: Gayle. June, and brother. Boyd. In her youth she admiringly worked alongside her father at (.arson's market on main street lx-hi as well as being an avid tennis ten-nis player for Lehi High. During i 0"H lA f vf Suzanne Gilbert Roberts Suanne Gilliert Roberts, age 45 of lx-hi, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 13, 2007. She was born in Salt Uike City. UT to James lx?on and Sandra Kay Petersen Gilbert. She graduated from Dixie High School and attended Salt Like Community College. She first married Kim C Pris-brey Pris-brey in St. George, UT. She later married Mark Lee Roberts on June 12, 1992. Their marriage was solemnized in the Bountiful Temple. Suzanne is a mernter of the LDS church and served in numerous numer-ous callings including Relief Society So-ciety Presidency, Compassionate Service, Primary and Gospel Doctrine Doc-trine Teacher. She loved to move to new surroundings and she is known for her family parties and cooking. I WW II she proudly did her part to support the war effort by working work-ing at the Civil Aeronautics in Washington DC and began her enduring life as a loving and caring car-ing mother. In 1947 they returned to American Fork, Utah where she dedicated herself to family, church and worked tirelessly as a nurse in the family medical practice. As a young mother she w as known to take the children accompanied with their many friends on adventurous excursions excur-sions ranging from California to Canada. Many have countless memories of her hikes to. Silver Lake, trips to Yellowstone and enjoying her joyous company at the family cabin at Tibbie Fork. She treasured her extended family, fam-ily, the bridge club and her many f fiends in American Fork and Beaver Dam, Arizona. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to those who cared for her this past year including Diane Di-ane Hatch, Joan Harding and the kind folks at Alpine Hospice. Doris died in Parma at her son Russell's home on February 6, 2007, 10 days short of her 92nd birthday. She died of natural natu-ral causes and from injuries suffered from an earlier fall. Doris was born February Febru-ary 16, 1915 in Lehi, Utah to Walter and Olive Ruth Fletcher Tay 7 kKt-t lor. She was the first born of two daughters. Doris was named Doris Olive Maude after her mother and her mother's two sisters. Doris's sister Ruth Price passed away September 19, 2006. Doris was raised in Eureka and Lehi, Utah. She graduated from Lehi High School in 1933. Doris married Louis E. Phillips December Decem-ber 5, 1935 in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They, with their three sons moved to Apple Valley (Parma) on January 6, 1945. Then in 1949 the family moved to a farm East of Parma. Here they farmed and raised their family. Louis passed away January Janu-ary 9, 1994. Doris stayed in hr home until February 2001 then she moved and lived with Russell and Deann until her passing. Doris, her sister Ruth and their parents were all baptized as members of The Church of Jesus Dorothy Dorothy Ruth Pierce, 75, of Pleasant Grove, Utah passed away peacefully on February 12, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 10, 1929 to Lester Vernon Mason Ma-son and Lilly Belle Gage in Sidney, Nebraska. Dorothy was the youngest young-est of 12 children. She married Robert L. Pierce on October 27, 1945, in Sterling, Colorado. They were blessed to have spent 60 wonderful years together, and from that marriage they were also blessed to have three children. They moved to Utah 53 years ago and made their home in Pleasant Grove. Mom was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church. She was a true Christian, loving her Lord and Savior and her church. Her children will always be indebted in-debted to their mother for her good example and caring attitude MILITARY Jordan R. Stites Army Pfc. Jordan R. Stites has returned to the 35th Armor Regiment, Regi-ment, Baumholder, Germany, after af-ter being deployed to an overseas forward-operating location in support sup-port of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Stites, a scout with one year of military service, is the son of Jordan Jor-dan R. Stites of Orem. The family was sealed together for eternity in the Manti Utah Temple September 1, 1929. Doris had a firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She knew Jesus was her Savior. She served in many calling in the church, Relief Society Soci-ety President, Stake Missionary, Sunday school teacher, and in the ; Stake Young Women's program. With her husband she served in the Nauvoo, Illinois Mission in 1981-1982. She later worked in the Name Extraction Program for the church. In 1984 Louis and Doris were called to serve in the Boise "- Idaho Temple. This they did for many years. Doris is survived by her three sons and wives, Russell and Deann of Parma, Idaho, Taylor and Frances of Burbank, Washington, Wash-ington, and David and Lora Jo of Royal City, Washington, 24 grandchildren, and 76 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband and 1 grandson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Parma Second Ward Chapel, 307 east Andrews Avenue, Av-enue, Parma. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 9:45 prior to the services at the church.
