The man told officers he was riding his bicycle near Shopko and noticed sliver Ford Expedition that he thought was the same vehicle he had noticed doing a suspected drug deal on Friday He dropped his bike and started pounding on the driver's side window. The occupants, a 31-year old Hispanic man and his wife who had ust finished shopping at Shopko, were understandably taken aback When the husband got out of the car to see what the man's problem was, the man reportedly smacked the husband in the face. There was then some pushing back and forth until the officers quickly arrived. He spotted it as he drove past the impound yard at Sorenson Marine, 1200 W. 400 North. He decided that he would report it then. The motorcycle had been left abandoned at the scene of an accident on Aug. 18 at 600 W. 640 North and impounded as possibly stolen. The motorcycle had no registration information and the ignition had been tampered tam-pered with. After taking the report on Saturday, Officer Eric Ahlborn went back to the scene of the accident ac-cident and found a woman who told him she had given the driver of the motorcycle a ride to his home after the accident and that he had bled all over the inside of her car. She led Officer Ahlborn to the home of 21 -year-old Russell Rus-sell Jacob Johnson. EVADING - Officers were notified Wednesday night, Sept. 6, that two suspicious men had been seen inside a vacant home on Cherapple Drive in Orem. The pair had been seen driving a newer, gray Lincoln LS and a witness provided a license plate number of the car. Officers checked the home, but the car and two men weren't there. The plate the officers had been given came back to a Lincoln registered to a woman in Salt Lake City. When contacted the woman in Salt Lake discovered her license plate had been stolen and replaced with one that returned re-turned a Jaguar. Just after midnight on the morning of Aug. 7, as Sgt. Martinez apprehended the driver as he attempted to climb from the car and Officer Dan McKown, who had arrived for backup, grabbed the passenger as he tried to scurry away from the stolen Lincoln. 27-year-old Shawn Vanhorn, of Midvale, and 22-year-old Justin Gary Llewelyn, of West Valley, were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle (the car had been stolen from a dealership in Salt Lake on Sept. 2), evading, and possession of stolen property. the best. want to live it. briers SCERA Musical "Superman" to open Friday The SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem will open its Encore Season with the '60s comedy musical spoof: "It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Superman," Monday to Oct. 2. With an evil mad scientist who wants to control the universe, a conniving girl who wants to steal Superman from'Lois Lane and a reporter whose mission is to uncover the identity of the Man of Steel, the show has over-the-top characters and funny dialogue.
