The 1351 domestic production of sugar beet pulp, an important livestock feed, is estimated at 50 percent below a year ago. The estimate was given by mem bers of the sugar beet pulp industry in-dustry advisory committee of the Office of Price Stabilization. Deficiencies in domestic pro duction are normally offset by importations which are at prices lower than for the domestic product. Committee members, who represented manufacturers from the major producing areas in the Central, Midwest and Mountain States, recommended to OPS that proposed dollar and cents ceiling prices be adjustable to any increases in prices of other feed products such as corn and barley. It was the concensus of com mittee members that imports of beet pulp, which have been large in recent years, be priced at the same level as the domestic domest-ic product at points of destination.
