A comparison of the lake depth gauge readings read-ings with annual weather pre cipitation reports indicates that the depth of the lake is to a great extent dependent on the annual rainfall. Precipitation re cords shoy that Utah is now on the damp side of one of its regular reg-ular weather cycles. A check of the depths of Utah's Bear Lake, Utah lake and the Etrawberry reservoir, indicates that while the depth of the storage stor-age water in these lakes is man-controlled, man-controlled, water will now flow out of Utah Lake and Bear Lake by gravity, something that never occurs while the state is in a dry cycle.
