Gladys Tippetts has returned home from Denver, Colorado where she has spent the past two months. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller spent last week in Ogden visiting visit-ing with ther son, Harold and family. A youtn leadereship meeting was held Monday night at the Antone Gleason home,. Plans were made for the coming month and a social hour was enjoyed. en-joyed. A delightful time was enjoyed enjoy-ed by the older folks of the ward on Saturday. They attended attend-ed a picture show at Scera, id-lowed id-lowed by a hot dinner in the ward Relief Society room. A program consisted of solos by Gladys Tippetts; a reading by Leah Peterson; poems by T. O. Allred, read by Alta Allred. Ruth Meldrum, Leah Gleason and Edna Hansen were the com mittee in charge. They are: Marvlu. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frampton Collins;. Penny Lyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Farley; Coreyne, daug hter of Mr. and Mrs- Que Steele; Sheri Raene. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Case; Carol Jean and Terrall D., twins of Mr. and Mrs- Terrall Lott; Jack Dwaine, 'son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Pippin; and Gordon Kay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lenos Grange. Geneva ward members have had a number of accidents lately. late-ly. Thomas Patten, Mrs. Jeremiah Jere-miah Davis, Richard Juber and Mrs- Alma Murdock are able to be out again. Lyman Skinner j is reportea 10 De improving. Mrs. Blanche Eager is better after two weeks illness. It is hoped that Leo Hatch will soon be able to be out again. Mr. and Mrs. William Cox of McKinnon, Idaho are visiting at the home of her cousin, Arden Rowley. Edna Larsen's Sunday School class will have- a fireside chat at her home on Sunday even ing Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bezzant of Pleasant Grove left Friday for a vacation trip to California. Ward members who would like to order pictures of the Gold and Green ball should contact con-tact Beth Moon before Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Heath are in charge of the Red Cross drive in Geneva ward. Mr- Heath explained the good done by the Red Cross at meeting on Sunday evening. High Councilman Council-man Charles Robbins spoke. Terry Johnson and Darrell Jensen Jen-sen gave talks, representing the Deacons. Corporal Dean Adams is home on furlough from his base in Spokane Washington where he is attending Radar school. VINEYARD Malicenl Wells 0893-J1 Shirly Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs- W. K. Allen, has been chosen chos-en a one of three from 150 train-Fort train-Fort Ord. California to attend a radio school in New Jersey. He plans to spend a fur-loueh fur-loueh with his parents after he completes boot training. At Fast day services on Sunday Sun-day Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mc-Clellan Mc-Clellan and children, Blaine, Lois Dixie and Clyde Jr., and Miss Peggy Ann Brady were sustained as ward members. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Phyllips was named nam-ed Linda Christeen and the following fol-lowing were confirmed members mem-bers of the church: Mary Jean Stewart, Wilden J. A very successful Hobo party, sponsored Jjy the genealogfcal class of the Sunday Shool was held in he Union school dining hall. Joseph Blake was master of ceremonies and prizes were given to Eldon Harding, Ted Clegg, Dorothy Farnsworth and Erna Holdaway for the Dest costumes. Lively games were played and refreshments served serv-ed by the committee which included in-cluded Aaron Stoddard, Wilson Jenkins, Nicky Harding and Cleo Roper. I Experts Plan Spray Program A preliminary Utah fruit spray program for 1949 is being prepared by three Utah State Bunnedll, Thomas Wells, John Rawlings, members of the ward bishopric and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Morrill and the' committee members, Mr. andi Mrs. Lewis Clegg, Mr. and Mrs-C Mrs-C N. Gammon and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Williams. The Sunday School faculty meeting was held Wednisdav evening at the home of Mr. and mrs. iewis uiegg. The Junior officers and teachers were in charge of the program ana re- tresnments. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Hardinir and son, Randy, are moving to American Fork to make their home.
