The new claim is situated about two miles east of the other. A ery beneficial change has been made in the post ofllee building this week. The change is a decided improvement. Last Tuesday night the grandchildren grand-children of Mis. Eliza Mendenhall gave her a birthday party at the City hall in honor of her 87th birthday. About 200 people were present and partook of the elegant repast which was served. Mrs. Mendenhall is the mother of eight children and she has forty grandchildren, seventy greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren. The Nashville Students held the boards at the City hall Monday night. They were greeted with one of the largest audience that has turned out to a theatrical performance in this city for some time. They gave entire satisfaction. Those who failed to go missed a treat indeed. Their Negro melodies were excellent and transported one at once into the Sunny South. The elocutionary work of Miss Grases aud the ventriloquist exhibition of Prof. McKenzie were both .worthy of commendation and showed they were artists of merit in their respective lines. The Nineteenth Century Club of Provo gave a grand reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wedgwood, tho occasion being the seventh adversary of that organization.
