His supporting company is quite remarkable in that It includes eight people, not one of whose salary is below $100 a week, and that of several of whom goes considerably con-siderably over that figure. Dan Har-kins, Har-kins, a one time star, heads the list; Beatrice Cameron is another; Johnstone John-stone Bennett of "Jane" fame is still another; Edmund Lyons, whose delirium de-lirium tremens scene in lloyle's "Gaei'd" is so well remembered, is in the support. So also is Orrin Johnson who came here with Odette Tyler. Eleanor Cary, an old favorite here, in another favorite; and Jane Eustace, tormerly of Palmer's company, is uls In the company. Vegetables For Utah-Potatoes Utah-Potatoes At the Utah station, the Hoffman was found to be the largest ylelder, and is reported as "a very large, late potato; is of good shape, with a smooth, white or yellowish skin." It yielded 811 bushelsper acre. The Freeman potato yielded 358 bushels, bush-els, and is reiiurU'd as "a very smooth potato of fair sue; round and somewhat some-what flattened in shape: eyes rather obscure; season early to medium. Very promising." Beans Speckled Wax is the best bush or "snap'" beau tried at the Utah station. Lima Beans "Henderson's bush lima bean is a success here." Cabbage Burpee's All Head is very promising for an early cabbage. Radishes Early Bird, Golden, Dresden, Dres-den, and Ne Plus Ultra are promising early radishes; and the Newcomb, White Strasburg, and the 2834 radish arc good mid-season radishes: the Celestial for late says, Prof. Richmau of the experiment station. AGRICULTURAL NOTES. It is said that when a Spaniard eats a peach or pear he digs a hole by the roadside with his foot and carefully care-fully covers up the seed. The result is fruit plently and free everywhere. What a happy custom this might become be-come in this fertile land of ours, where our roadsides are neglected in so many ways. It is preferable to cultivate the smaller fruits in the home garden, for the reason that they take oup less room and for a succession of dainties the summer through. They require so little attention, and the knowledge of their nature is so easily acquired, that he is culpable who denies his family the luxury. All Canadians know that pork made from peas or beans is much firmer in texture than even corn-fed pork. There is a special flavor of sweetness which no other pork has. The fat does not fry outso'tnuch in cooking, and it makes an ideal bacon for family use. When we can raise the cow pea for hogs they will prove economical and healthful to the herd. YOU CAN GET.
